INTED 2013; 7th International Technology, Education and Development Conference

 Organizations face challenges in transforming their instructions into effective blended learning formats. Barriers include administrative challenges, system challenges, course design concerns, faculty preparation, and quality assurance. The presentation details how to cross these barriers and develop an affective and quality blended learning program. Participants will enhance knowledge on overcoming the administrative challenges (e.g., awareness deficiencies, plans, and goals), system challenge (e.g., platforms to house the educational materials, conferencing equipment, and bandwidth concerns), faculty competencies (e.g., online delivery, active learning, and participant engagement), as well as measuring for quality assurance and compliance. Additionally participants will better understand the benefits of blended learning such as enhanced access to personalized learning and development, increased flexibility for instructors and learners, increased global interaction, and amplified cost benefits. This presentation will provide a model to leverage blended learning and improved productivity. 
