Argumentative text is a kind of text by which a writer supports his claims that he puts forward about a subject with its data by using the ways of improving thinking and tries to refute the opposite claims and connects the subject to an result with these. The aim of the study is to reveal based on sample text problems related to creating text units in argumentative texts of university students. Research were occur 1 th grade students on written argumentative texts at different faculties and departments of Mustafa Kemal University. In the study, was used to "Argumantative Writing Text Form" and "Argumentative Text Elements Problem Inventory" that developed by researchers. According to result of the study, 6 problems related to data and claim; 3 problems related to the counter claim and 4 problems related to the result and the frequencies of these problems were determined. According to result of research, were determined that university students' problems related to data (X = 0.93) and claim against (X = 0.77), were more successfull claim and result units creating. Result of unnecessary repeats and irrelevant units are (X = 0.21) and (X = 0.01).
