France is a country with the largest Moeslem population in Europe, nearly 7,5% of thepopulation are Moeslems. Ironically, radicalization has increased in the past 10 years. Itaffects the rise of Islamophobia and it continues to increase until 2015. The worst effectsof Islamophobia experienced by Moeslems Maghribi Women in France.This paper tries to show the relation between identity, Islamic context, anddiscrimination. The author tries to analyze the cause and impact of the discrimination tothe identity of Moeslem Maghribi Women. Discrimination is focused on the difficulties tofind a job. This paper is using qualitative method with literature study, and Theory ofIdentity by Stuart Hall.The result is expected to give an overview of multiculturalism, Islamophobia, anddiscrimination against Moeslem Maghribi Women in France in order to defend the rightsand freedom of the Moeslem Maghribi Women. This research aims to collect terms of religious freedom and understanding of them from any experts. This discourse is to construct a comprehensive term of religious freedom especially to Indonesian as a multicultural society. There are many descriptions of religious freedom oriented to: freedom as a human right itself, the relation of individual and society, law that restricted people life, and the implication to life. Therefore, the wide argumentation leads people to consider all of the aspects when they discourse and imply this freedom in life. The different of these points of view could disharmonic society while in discourse and practice. As a multicultural culture, Indonesian should understand all of the aspects to life in peace. Problematika Jilbab dalam Perspektif Quraish Shihab

This paper attempt to explain how Quraish Shihab’s argument on veil. In his books entitled Jilbab, the controversy emerges among Muslim in Indonesia. I argue that Quraish Shihab’s argument of veiling is based on Muslim scholars along classical period until now. There is no prohibition or suggestion specifically about the rule of veil. Quraish Shihab position himself as Muslim scholar who expose the whole argument that he believes its true.

Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa; pertama,bahwa Quraish Shihab menganggap ayat-ayat al Qur‟an yang bicara tentang pakaian yakni surah alAhzab ayat 59 dan surah an-Nur ayat 31 mengandung berbagai interpretasi.Demikian juga hadis-hadis yang menjadi rujukan tentang batas aurat wanita masih bersifat Zhanny atau dugaan oleh kerena tidak adanya kesepakatan tentang kesahihannya. Kedua, Meski demikian, Quraish Shibab telah mempertegas bahwa bahwa menutup aurat (seluruh tubuh dan telapak tangan) dapat dikatakan telah menjalankan bunyi ayat-ayat perintah agama tentang berpakaian. Meski demikian bukan berarti yang belum berkerudung atau yang menampakkan tangan dapat dikatakan telah melanggar petunjuk agama. Ketiga, Quraish Shihab menuai banyak kritikan dari beberapa cendikiawan oleh karena pernyataanya yang di anggap kontroversial.
