It is possible to observe the interconfessional relationships between the reformed church and uniates on various levels. One of them is the change in the ownership of a church, the other one are the notes about the conversion of the inhabitants. The notes about the conversion or aposthasis are more of propaganda materials, it is very rare to find direct information about the relationships between religions or lists of names of the converted people. The provided rewritings are enlightening the important aspects of the religious life of the citizens of Hungary. The first rewriting brings information about the interconfessional cooperation of the Greek rite and the reformed religion in which we see the evidence of the earlier assumption of a union between these two confessions. The second document is the rewriting of the documents of the convertates and apostates from the area of the North Eastern Hungary.
Sv. Cyril a Metod a ich reflexia v krajine Slovenska
Konštantínove listy/Constantine's Letters, 2020
Methodius and Their Reflection in the Landscape of Slovakia. The formation of the Cyrillo-Methodian tradition in our history has an impact on the cultural landscape. The aim of the paper is a spatial identification of the cult of Sts. Cyril and Methodius as well as the study of its impact on the landscape of Slovakia. The first step is to identify tangible and intangible features, or, more precisely, cultural landscape elements. In Slovakia, we register in connection with Sts. Cyril and Methodius more than 120 sacral objects (churches, chapels, exterior sculptures). These, together with profane objects (schools, medical facilities) and intangible elements (e.g. street names, squares, organized events), are involved in the transformation of cultural, or, more precisely, religious landscape. The largest number of sacral objects arose after 1989, in the process of modern sacralisation of the landscape, which is typical of countries with renewed religious freedom.
Svätí Konštantín - Cyril a Gregor Z Nazianzu – Služobníci S/Slova
Slavica Slovaca, 2014
The activity of both saints, Constantine-Cyril and Gregory of Nazianzus, is characterized by several similarities (love for education, inclination towards spiritual life, longing for solitude) that may have been influenced by Constantine’s selection of Gregory as a special patron. The study is based on the hypothesis that not only Gregory’s panegyrics and his autobiographical poem De vita sua but also a wider spectrum of Nazianzen’s poetic works influenced Constantine. It shows some selected Gregory’s verses reflected in the life and works of St. Constantine.
Vybrané geografické aspekty vývoja lazníckej krajiny k. ú. Hrušov
Geografické informácie, 2018
This contribution has been created as a part of the scientific project focused on the geographical research of the specific type of the cultural landscape characterized by scattered settlement. This type of landscape covers almost one tenth of the Slovakia territory. Landscape with scattered settlement has developed previously in the montane regions of the Slovak Carpathians characterized by hindered live condition of the inhabitants closely connected to nature. Therefore, these regions have been distinguished by very sparse settlement. Local governments of the villages with scattered settlements have lacked for defaults of inner human, material and financial sources for management of the landscape with high operating costs. They need helps from outside. This research project has been an example of successful cooperation geographers with active local government of the village Hrušov (district Veľký Krtíš) on the project of the revitalisation of landscape with scattered settlement.
