Abstract

The FTIR spectra of the three title compounds and of their partially deuterated analogues were recorded at both room and liquid-nitrogen temperature. As a consequence of the Jahn-Teller effect, the bands in the OH stretching region of the spectrum of Cu(BS)2·6H2O (BS = benzenesulphonate) are broad and split into at least two components which appear at somewhat higher and lower
