As a unique cultural landscape, the Bosphorus is a particular area attractive for both the residents of Istanbul and tourists. The area is increasingly becoming a focus of attention for branding Istanbul as a site for cultural tourism as well as for leisure and entertainment activities. This paper summarizes the findings of research carried out in the Bosphorus neighborhoods to understand the perceptions and attitudes of the residents and local businesses in the tourism, leisure and entertainment sectors towards further development of tourism in the area. The data obtained from the surveys are subject to Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Weighted Linear Combination (WLC) analyses to measure the support of residents and local entrepreneurs in the tourism development.
