In the present computer era, the need to protect data in communications from spying eyes is greater than ever before. Since times immemorial, security of data to maintain its confidentiality, proper access control, integrity and availability has been a major issue in data communication. This paper focuses mainly on the realization of data encryption using the famous Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm in Vb.net framework. The study is based on the development of a computer oriented encryption program, using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) that will ensure the security of data on transit. The data encryption and decryption system described and realized in this work using AES codes is aimed at improving data security and integrity. It has been programmed, tested and proved satisfactory with all the needed modifications and upgrading.

Cryptography is a method that can be used to secure data. Data that is usually secured using cryptography is text data. Text data is usually used in messages to communicate. The contents of the message are secured by cryptography. There are two main procedures in cryptography, namely encryption and decryption. Encryption is a procedure performed to encode an original data or message into a coded data or message. Instead, decryption is a procedure performed to return a message or data that is encrypted into the original message or data as before. Cryptography has a variety of algorithms, one of which is the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm. AES is a cryptographic algorithm that has a high level of security. In this research, an AES algorithm is implemented to securing data in the form of video with mp4 format. Tests carried out using cryptographic applications, namely CrypTool. To be encrypted and decrypted, video data is converted in the form of HexDump. From this research it was produced that the AES algorithm is effective for securing video data. Encrypted video data cannot be played with the media player and does not have detailed information like the original data. However, when decrypted the data is successfully played normally with a media player and has detailed information like the original data.

Cryptography is a process by which information or messages can be sent from one user to another user which provides several security services such as confidentiality, data integrity or authentication to the wireless communication system. As there is need for secure communication, efficient cryptographic processing is required for good system performance. One of the basic fundamental tools used in information security is known as the signature. Thus, the security for internet banking, account passwords, emails accounts password etc. requires text protection in digital media. This paper presents the security and compression for the data with the advance encryption standard (AES). In our research, we increase the number of rounds (Nr) to 16 for the encryption and decryption process of AES algorithm, which results in more security to the system. Experimental results and Theoretical analysis proved that this AES technique provide high speed as well as less transfer of data over the unsecured channels.

ABSTRAK Advances in computer science and technology have affected every aspect of human life, including education. Information and data can be easily and quickly sent to consumers via a computer network. Data and information can be easily and quickly accessed by users through a computer network. Of course, this is dangerous if unauthorized persons have access to the data transmitted and cause a data breach or leakage. Security issues are one of the most important aspects of information systems. In particular, technological advances in data security systems to maintain data security have grown rapidly. Scientific disciplines such as encryption and steganography are being developed to maintain data security. (Program et al., 2016) In the implementation of not only one security technique, but can be done in combination in the security of information data. This research aims to create data security by applying cryptography to text messages, document files, and images online with advanced encryption standard (AES) algorithm calculation methods. AES is a cryptographic algorithm that can be used to eat data where the algorithm is a symmetric chipertext block that can encrypt and decrypt information. The result of the study is that users can encrypt text messages, document files, and images so that the security of the information data can be maintained because of security. (Ikbal, 2007)

The application of technology in this era has entered digitalization and is modern. Therefore, we are already in an era of advanced and rapid technological development. It has become a human need to exchange information in every activity. Documents that contain information that is frequently sought or used. The document's use also includes essential information. Document security is undoubtedly a significant factor in prioritizing important information in a document to prevent unauthorized people from misusing the document's vital information. Cryptography is a method of overcoming document security issues so that third parties cannot read the information or messages contained within the document. The 128-bit advanced encryption standard (AES) algorithm is one of the algorithms included in the cryptography technique. Additionally, it can be combined with operation modes such as electronic codebook (ECB) and cipher block chaining (CBC) to create an application that can generate random codes to improve the security of the data contained in the document.
IMPLEMENTATION OF IMPROVED AES IMAGE ENCRYPTION IN VB.NET
Due to the increasing use of images in industrial process, financial institutions, medical and military application, there is every need to achieve secure transmission and storage of digital images. Various methods have been investigated and developed to protect image data for personal privacy and encryption is probably the most obvious solution. This work presents an improvement on the existing Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Algorithm by implementing it on VB.NET framework. Encryption time of AES was considered to be very long, especially when processing images using encryption key. Therefore, eliminating the use of encryption key will lead to reduced encryption time. Finally, comparisons made of the Improved AES Algorithm with the latest successful Algorithms in image encryption indicates that the Algorithms of Gamil and Pareek encrypts a Kilobyte of image at an average encryption time of 0.7 milliseconds and the average encryption time of the Improved AES is 0.3 milliseconds. This shows that the improvement has been successful.
Privacy Preserving of Data Files & Audio / Video Encryption –Decryption Using AES Algorithm
: Recently in many areas like facebook , watsapp and many more social networking site many users upload their personal data, video ,voice recording. This paper proposed and idea of encryption – decryption of any file which user s going to upload on site. The specific site which are providing such kind of functionality needs to adopts this method to secure user data for privacy preserving.So that any hackers or indruder can not directly hike your data. If in exceptional cases someone even hacks the data they will not get the actual file they will only get the encrypted file withoud having a decrypt key for the data. So they never see an original file.This will improve the data security over internet uses. The proposed system wiil used a special Advanced Encryption Standard, also known by its original name Rijndael for secure encryption decryption of audio ,video as well as data files.
