LOGICAL REASONING METHODOLOGY IN MACHINE CONDITION MONITORING (original) (raw)
The modern condition monitoring methods involve the predictive control methodology, which can be used to calculate the control moves from the measured data. Due to differences between the mathematical model and the real physical system, these methods usually based on an imprecise model that may perform unsatisfactorily. In the area of fault detection, the quantitative models can be used to describe and behavior of a system. The proposed method consists of qualitative information in terms of propositional logic and the integer variables i.e. '0' or '1'. In decision-making strategy, multiple choices of actions can be offered to solve a particular problem, but the problem arises in giving preferences to the most suitable actions. The recommended actions have to be taken by considering the preferences based on propositional logic. In the present work, wear experimentation has been done ferrographically and for condition monitoring of the equipment the preferences have given by providing the some
