Analysis of Knowledge-based System Taxonomy (original) (raw)
The analysis of knowledge-based systems and their taxonomy focuses on understanding the concept of ontologies, which are crucial within Knowledge Engineering. Multiple definitions spanning computer science and artificial intelligence highlight how ontologies serve as structured frameworks for knowledge representation, illustrating their relevance across various domains. This study categorizes ontologies into different families, such as upper, domain, and task ontologies, each serving specific purposes in knowledge management and application. Additionally, practical frameworks like SKOS and GEMET are discussed to exemplify the implementation of these ontologies in real-world scenarios.
