On the Chanting System of the Weekly Octoechos Canons in the Early Liturgical Tradition. Nine types of the early Russian Parakletike represented in 18 manuscripts are introduced into the context of the early Byzantine liturgical tradition. They all belong to three local varieties of Parakletike, these of Constantinople, old- Bulgarian and early Russian. The fourth, Palestine variety of Parakletike exhisting in the unique oldest copy Sinait. gr. 776 which includes along with the Sunday and partly formed weekly canon cycles, the earliest form of Octoechos / Parakletike. In this proto-Octoechos all weekly echos canons of different dedications, having rather archaic literary text, are sung following the model of one heirmoi akolouthia, marked in the manuscript as «common». In Heirmologia the majority of «common» heirmoi are part of the akolouthiai of Germanos, Patriarch of Constantinople.

The main subject of study is the unique chant ms. of theJNovgorodian- Pskov origin (end of the 12th — beginning of the 13th cent.), the only completely notated Parakletike of the oldest epoch. The author suggests its textologcal reading within the range of the 1 2 -1 3 th-centure Byzantine Heirmologia as well as early Russian Heirmologia of the same period. Having applied method proposed both by Western and Russian musicology, the author points out the weak aspect of the result achieved, namely the stylistic leap from the “”Byzantine-like” version of the early 1 2 -13 th-century Russian manuscripts up to the highly transformed traditional znamenny variant of the last third of the 15th century. The paper contains detailed examination of the transitional forms o f fixation of the heirmoi in the Heirmologia o f the 1st half of the 15th century.

The Typology of the Early Russian Parakletikai and Their Relation to the Current Liturgical Typikon. Early Russian Parakletikai survived in 18 manuscripts which, in our opinion, belong to three local varieties, these of Constantinople, Old Bulgarian and Early Russian, can be divided into nine types depending on the quantative structure as well as on the system of weekly dedications, and specific canon texts. Only three Parakletike manuscripts conform to the liturgical instructions of the Stoudios Typikon which originally meant just one week-day Octoechos canon as shown in the early Russian manuscripts, those survived. The majority of the Parakletike manuscripts reflect the lat er stage of the St oudios Typikon, when it was influenced by the Jerusalem liturgical order.

Интонация как компонент семиозиса русских частиц

Studia Rossica Posnaniensia, 2019

The aim of this article is to focus on the role of intonation in the process of semiosis of Russian particles as language signs. Intonation is a non-lingual means of communication. It fulfills an auxiliary or independent function in the act of communication. In the process of communication Russian particles can intensify semantically important language information, or level it up. They can be expressers of explicit or latent/hidden intentions of its participants. From the point of view of semiotics intonation is an interpretation of a separate Russian particle as a language sign.
