The Indonesian Government is currently trying to intensify the establishment and development of BUM Village to increase village income. The existence of BUM Village is expected to be a pillar of the village community’s economy, so that the existence of BUM Village needs to be maintained and further considered. A traditional market has an important role for economic in a society of developing countries. In its worse condition with the presence of modern market, any efforts which have been done to revitalize the traditional market tend to face a failure because of it has not been looked at the social aspect and is only shown the physical and economical aspect. Meanwhile the social aspect (such as a social capital) is very significant for the dynamic and the sustainability of the market. This article provides how the social aspect (social capital) become an important part of market revitalization which is more optimal. By using qualitative method, this article is seen the dynamic of social capital between traders in Beringharjo Market, Jogjakarta. The result of study shown that the opportunity of strengthening and or weakening of the operation, function and role of the traditional market from each actor based on the capacity and competence of the key actors in the traditional market. The determination of power assessment on utilization of social capital by stakeholders of traditional market due to the support of stakeholders' network and power of trust which executed in form of the existing norm and value pattern.

This study aims to identify the social capital, co-production, and sustainability of KUD (Village Unit Cooperatives) business. It used descriptive research design using primary data obtained from KUD administrators and KUD members through the focus group discussion (FGD). It used FGD because in general KUD activities stopped after being affected by the natural disasters on September 28, 2018, and during the Covid 19 pandemic so that most of the KUD administrators and members were inactive and difficult to find. The business activities of coastal communities do not only run based on business mechanisms, the business problems often are solved by social mechanisms. The aim of this research is to identify the types and role of social capital in the configuration among actors of coastal communities’ business contracts. This study uses a qualitative approach by phenomenology method to capture the actual phenomenon of business contracts relationship on coastal communities. The results show that the types of social capital can be seen from first, the trust: a lasting unwritten employment contract and debt that had never paid off. Second, the network: reflected in the closeness of the actors’ relationship which is influenced by the experience of cooperation, adherence to business contracts, and contractual ties to strengthen social relations. The interaction of group participation from the social capital activity of the Riau Malay woven fabric IKM business group in Pekanbaru is intertwined with group participation, which continues to form a strong network. This research uses a qualitative case study approach to analyze the dynamics of the role of social capital to increase the competitiveness of Riau Malay woven fabric SMEs in Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Purposive sampling was used in determining informants and triangulation technique used. The role of social capital in the Riau Malay Woven Fabric industry in Pekanbaru was found in the research results. It showed a strong social bonding because they had the same kinship and ethnic Malay Islam, so social interaction was formed on a sense of togetherness, empathy, and firm trust.
