E-banking implies provision of banking products and services through electronic delivery channels. It permits anytime, anywhere and any how banking. Problematic Issues of E-Banking Management in Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, banking industry is getting mature to a great extent than earlier period. With the launching of internet the world has become a smaller one. Remarkable development in ICT has introduced a global revolution in banking sectors. Beside the every sector in social life it has rendered enormous impacts on banking sector. Internet together with other information and communication technologies are not only driving financial global economies but also transforming societies into knowledge-based economies around the world. As a third world developing country, Bangladesh is far behind to reach the expected level in global banking system. So it is our urgent need to upgrade its banking system. The main focus of this study is to examine the performance, problems and prospects of E-banking in Bangladesh. This paper is also aimed at to determine the present scenario of e-banking and banking sectors in Bangladesh and at the same time it demonstrated the scope and benefits of e-banking compared with the existing sector. The study is descriptive in nature. So this study has been done mainly based on secondary sources of data or information which sources included different published articles, books, newspaper, and websites.

Being a developing country E-banking opened up tremendous opportunity to the financial sector and economic development of Bangladesh. This paper studies prospects of e-banking in Bangladesh, considering the performance of Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd. (DBBL) and BRAC Bank Ltd. To evaluate the performance of DBBL and BRAC bank seven trend equations have been tested for different activities of DBBL and BRAC Bank. Among them trend value of number of ATM, recoveries from clients, number of branches, charges from services, income from IT service, card expenses, depreciation on computer equipment and software, other operating expenses, cash carrying charges, net income and EPS are positive in case of both banks during the period of 2008-2015. The square of correlation coefficient (r 2) of number of ATM, recoveries from clients, number of branches, income from IT service, card expenses, depreciation on computer equipment and software, other operating expenses, cash carrying charges, net income and EPS is more than 0.5. It indicates the prospect of E-banking in Bangladesh is very bright Contribution/ Originality: The study highlighted different types of E-banking instrument in Bangladesh and also focused on E-banking performance of two pioneer banks i.e. DBBL and BRAC Bank which showed there is a tremendous opportunity of E-banking in Bangladesh. 1. PORTRAIT OF E-BANKING IN BANGLADESH In the past few years electronic banking has been growing in Bangladesh at a rapid rate. The Central Bank of Bangladesh (BB) is playing the key role in this growth as it is providing environment as the regulator of the financial sector. Trends and Challenges of E-Banking Services of Private Commercial Banks in Bangladesh
E-banking provides users, working with a home computer attached to the network to their bank, with the ability to authorize payments, reconcile accounts, and access a variety of other banking services with the help of ATM, Visa Card, Master Card, Q-cash, E-cash, Ready cash, Mobile, Internet etc. E-banking has a lot of benefits which add value to customers' satisfaction. For collecting the data a highly structured questionnaire was made. The questionnaire was designed into four parts. The statistical techniques used for the analysis were the descriptive analysis, ANOVA analysis and Chi-Square test. There are some associated challenges identified in the study that seems to hinder the success of e-banking services and thus constitute a major concern to both financial institutions and customers. The paper recommends various measures should be put in place to make e-banking system smooth, effective and more secure.
Electronic-Banking Services: A Study on Selected Commercial Banks in Bangladesh
E-Banking as the wave of the future, provides enormous benefits to consumers in terms of cost of transactions, either through internet, telephone or other electronic delivery channels. E-Banking is now widely practiced in Bangladesh. There are various types of e-banking services like SMS banking, Tele Banking, Push and Pull services, ATM, Fast Track etc. that have been introduced by the commercial banks in Bangladesh. This study attempts to explore various forms and characteristics of e-banking and finds out the merits and demerits of e-banking in selected commercial banks of our country. The major findings of the study show that all the commercial banks selected for the study have been practicing e-banking successfully and Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd. is providing electronic banking services more effectively than other commercial banks selected in this study. Besides, there is a positive impact of e-banking on the socio-economic development in Bangladesh. There should be diversification of such activities in rural areas of Bangladesh.

The study was designed to investigate the impact of e-banking in Bangladesh. There appears a few extensive study on e-banking practices has been conducted in Bangladesh. But no comprehensive study has yet been conducted especially on security of e-banking in Bangladesh. The main objective of present study is to find out the practice and impact of e-banking in Bangladesh. The investigation was concentrated in various divisions, districts, towns and rural areas in Bangladesh. The sample consisted of 120 bankers and bank customers, were selected purposively from various territory. For analyzing data suitable statistical tools Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) were used. Major findings of this study is e-banking required minimum man power than traditional banking, E-banking reduces carrying cash, Cards are used for shopping, No need to maintain huge documents for banking functions in e-banking, Customers feel insecurity from hijacker to withdraw and deposit money from ATM booths, All the ATM booths of Bangladeshi banks are not in safe position.

The main objective of this report examines the present status, problems and prospects of E-banking in Bangladesh. This study has been done mainly based on primary and secondary sources of data or information, which included different publications, journals and different books. The primary data is collected from respondents through structured interview schedule. To accomplish this report we have implemented the interviewing approach on Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited. Bangladesh, particularly who avail the electronic banking services. Dutch-Bangla Bank is acting as a pioneer in this sector. Customers who were habituated with e-banking thinks that e-banking services were relatively good than manual system, but they not satisfied with the quality of services and bank personnel behavior to that extent.
