Abstract

Revue de la littérature rédigée en 2012disponible en ligne en Open Access sur HAL Contact : anne.heron@parisdescartes.fr Résumé : L'éthanol a de multiples effets au niveau cardiovasculaire qui mettent en jeu le pronostic vital du patient éthylique chronique. Certains effets résultent d'une toxicité de l'alcool au niveau du Système Nerveux Autonome (SNA) et peuvent régresser en cas d'abstinence. Cette revue de la littérature montre l'importance du repérage précoce des dysautonomies cardiovasculaires et l'intérêt de mesurer en routine la variabilité de la fréquence cardiaque (HRV) qui se trouve diminuée dans pareils cas. La mesure de la HRV représente en effet un outil non invasif de choix pour repérer les risques cardiovasculaires auxquels est exposé le patient.
