In this paper, the author deals with current theoretical issues of international legal order and state sovereignty. In this sense author address in detail the current issues of sovereignty -aspects of sovereignty decline and international recognition of new states, which directly causes changes in terms of determination of the state status in international law and definition of subjects of international law in general. Also, a significant place in this paper is given to the issue of the right of peoples to self-determination, which today creates a great number of controversies. The author analyzes the most important understandings and conceptions in the theory of international law, which have an impact on the contemporary international legal trends, with a focus on contemporary problems in terms of implementation of international cogent norms Ius Cogens, progressive development of international law and the scope of international legal order in general. Today's international legal relations are extremely complex, and there is more variety -specific holders of rights and obligations (duties) in these relations. Multifarious entities (organisms, personalities) participating in international legal relations are increasingly (each) differing in terms of the status, scope and nature of legal personality, general and specific identification, legal capacity, specific rights and duties, etc. These are the issues that the author has paid special attention to and tried to offer perspective towards conceptual solutions in the Theory of International Law.
