Resumo: O artigo discute a relação entre Theodor W. Adorno e Herbert Marcuse, tendo como fi o condutor seu diálogo em torno dos eventos políticos de 1968 e do movimento estudantil. Dado que são teóricos críticos geralmente considerados antitéticos quanto a essa questão, o artigo busca problematizar essa concepção dualista dos autores, recorrendo tanto à obra teórica quanto à correspondência, assim como a intervenções públicas de ambos. Adorno and Herbert Marcuse, having as its main axis their dialogue around the political events surrounding 1968 and the student movement. Since they are critical theorists usually taken as antithetical in their positions regarding this issue, the article seeks to problematize such dualist conception, by resorting not only to their theoretical works, but also to the correspondence, as well as public interventions from both.
