LA 272 was a pithouse village dated by ceramics to A.D. 850-950. LA 9154 had three room blocks, two kivas, and five rectangular pit rooms, ca. A.D. 1400. LA 34 was a seventeenth-century Spanish Colonial homesite occupied until the Pueblo Revolt. Excavation of the Las Majadas Site (LA 591). The excavations exposed four separate occupations, including a Pueblo IV fieldhouse and an unidentified lithic artifact chipping station. It also exposed a seventeenth century Spanish Colonial cattle ranch, plus post-seventeenth century use of the ranch corrals. Excavation of LA 6178, a rectangular structure with two torreones. This is a Pueblo Revolt period structure reused by Hispanic American colonists in the eighteenth (18th) century, and by loggers and construction crews in the twentieth (20th) century. A. Helene Warren's report (no. 76a) is entitled: Pottery of the Torreon Site : a preliminary report relating to archaeological salvage excavations at Cochiti Dam carried out by the Museum of New Mexico. Report provides a detailed iconographic analysis and a comparative analysis of Hopi kiva mural paintings found at Hano and Walpi in Arizona.
