A Review on Manet (Mobile Ad Hoc Network)

International Journal of Emerging Trends in Engineering and Development, 2018

MANET or Mobile Ad-hoc Network is a field of networking that deals with the mobiles nodes of communication. These nodes are wirelessly connected with each other. Dynamically interconnections are made. Due to its dynamic behavior, it is necessary to choose apt network type and to handle power consumption issues. In the MANET networks due to mobility and sensing power consumption is the major issue of communication between different nodes. The major Concern of MANET is energy optimization. This paper reviews various types of Mobile Ad-hoc Network and routing protocols and analyses their performance in various application areas along with its advantages and challenges. In addition, we would also explain the various emerging applications and future potential of MANET KEYWORDS-Nodes, Power consumption, Ad hoc networking, Protocol.

An Overview of Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET): Features and Challenges

International Journal for Scientific Research and Development, 2017

A mobile ad hoc network is the self-configure and self-organized infrastructure less network that is used for wireless. Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) are not used any centralized device to manage the nodes [1]. The range or the paths between the nodes are limited. When a node are move far from the range that node are out of network. This paper presents the study of the Manet Types, Features and its Challenges.

A REVIEW PAPER ON APPLICATION AND CHALLENGES OF MOBILE AD HOC NETWORK

This paper has a center of attention on the study of Ad Hoc network its protocols and different types of networks in detail as we know this is an up and coming field which places lot of contribution in networking. In the past few years we have seen a rapid expansion in the field of mobile computing due to the proliferation of inexpensive widely available wireless devices a mobile ad hoc network or MANET consists of mobile wireless nodes in which the communication between nodes is carried out without any centralized control. MANET is a self organized and self configurable network where the mobile nodes move arbitrarily. The mobile nodes can receive and forward packets as a router. In this paper provides insight into the potential applications of ad hoc networks and discusses the technological challenges that protocol designers and network developers are faced with. KEYWORDS: Ad Hoc network, Challenges Application, WSN, MANET, WMN.

A Survey Report: Mobile Ad-Hoc Network and Its Usage

2014

In this paper, we have discussed the basic of mobile ad hoc network (MANET). Mobile Ad Hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile hosts forming a temporary network without the aid of any centralized administration, in which individual nodes cooperate by forwarding packets to each other to allow nodes to communicate beyond direct wireless transmission range. Routing is a process of exchanging information from one station to other stations of the network. Routing protocols of mobile ad-hoc network tend to need different approaches from existing Internet protocols because of dynamic topology, mobile host, distributed environment, less bandwidth, less battery power.

Study of Mobile Ad-hoc Network's Challenges and Characteristics

International Journal of Scientific Research in Science and Technology, 2019

MANET is a collection of various mobile nodes that are helpful to communicate with each other without any centralized control which are wireless and work as dynamic network. The current generation is much advanced in using such type of networks, which is very flexible and portable to the end users, which is most economical. The applications of this MANETs are used world wide due to its advantages, but still there are some issues which need to be resolved, known as challenges. This paper is on the various challenges and characteristics of MANET.

Survey on Mobile Ad-Hoc Network and Its Applications

2014

This paper is about an introduction or information about mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is generally defined as a network that has many free or autonomous nodes, often composed of mobile devices or other mobile pieces, that can arrange themselves in various ways and operate without strict top-down network administration. There are many different types of setups that could be called MANETs and the potential for this sort of network is still being studied.

An Efficient Ad Hoc Transport Protocol (ATP) for MANETs

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are very intricate accumulation of wireless mobile nodes that can be liberatingly self-organized into dynamically ephemeral network topologies. Many researchers spent a considerable duration on amending the performance of reliable transport protocol i.e. TCP for MANETs. TCP surmises that any losses in the network are due to congestion and responds with congestion control mechanism in all situations which results in poor performance. Ad hoc transport protocol-ATP is an incipient protocol that fixates on impotency of TCP for MANETs. In this paper, we are evaluating the TCP performance under MANET scenario and represents the ineptly illfittedness of TCP for MANETs with increasing no. of mobile nodes it responds in decreasing throughput. And discuss the properties and mechanism of ATP. The experiment is done using NS-2 simulation tool. Based on theoretical analysis and experimental result ATP is well suited for MANETs.

Design and Implementation of an Algorithm for Mitigating the Congestion in Mobile Ad Hoc Network

Wireless mobile ad-hoc network is a recent trend of communication network that work in dynamic behaviour with the help of multiple node cooperation. Because of the limited capacity of the bandwidth every node may transmit the packet at the same time due to this congestion arises which incur long delay and high packet loss which cause the performance degradation of the network. Number of researcher gives the idea for minimization and controlling the congestion in efficient manner but they cannot fulfill all aspect of network parameters. In this paper, the aim is to design a mechanism to control the congestion as well as gives improved performance with respect to every parameters of network under dynamic behaviour. In this paper apply the local route revamp and node reliability methodology for route establishment process and analogous time CTS/RTS mechanism are used to resolve the collision while multiple nodes are contend for the channels assignment. In the second methodology we minimize congestion with using the intermediate queue aware based data rate control technique so our network performance overall improve. The experimental analysis of proposed approach is done using various performance metrics such as Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), Normalized Routing Load (NRL), throughput and average delay. The result taken in different scenario and analyzed the performance in all respect of network parameter, that conclude our proposed approach is more reliable than the existing AODV protocol which improves the PDR approximately 15%, throughput about 5-6%. The proposed approach also minimizes the network routing load and average delay than the existing approach.
