Interviews were carried with most of the stakeholders. Observations and content analysis were also other methods which were used to obtained data for the study. The results from the study highlighted that there were discrepancies between theory and practice. In conclusion it was established that historic preservation can be used to aid in local economic and community revitalization, increased tourism and employment, and preserves regional history, culture, and pride. It however up to the various stakeholders who are involved in the process to make strategic steps towards achieving these benefits.
