The Unification of Physics

The Unification of Physics

The objective is to find a unified description of physical properties which applies at the small (atomic) scale and at the large (cosmological) scale. The starting point is the General Theory of Relativity. Light is described as a wave disturbance of spacetime propagating through space. The light interference experiment is discussed in detail considering light as a real physical wave passing through the apparatus and interacting with the detector so that probabilistic effects take place at the point of detection. The nature of mass and the nature of charge are explained. The concepts of force and field are shown to be dependent attributes and all properties are shown to be derived from spacetime. The nature of protons, neutrons and electrons as looped waves in spacetime is analysed with the implications for experimental observations. The cause of the quantisation of electron states is explained and this leads to the cause for the quantisation of light as electrons change energy level. The unification of the four fundamental forces is achieved by recognising that the property "force" is not fundamental. The forces (gravitational, electromagnetic, strong and weak nuclear) arise as a result of differences in energy between possible positions of objects in spacetime. The forces arise in each case due to the context in which they occur. The Theory of Everything (TOE) or master theory question is resolved by showing that the core theory equations are the Einstein equations of GR with a cosmological constant of zero.

A unified theory of Physics

DESCRIPTION From a simple Matrix Theory, we can obtain (deduce) apparently independent physical results like a) the relativistic Nucleon Mass and b) the gravitational constant G. The only theory apply in this approach, is the well known basic crystal wave theory (one dimensional case) and its features. The contribution is limited to establishing certain gauge values (calibration) and reinterpret the results Assuming space is indeed a non conventional crystal (ultra fine Mesh) and light is only the transversal excitation of the mesh particles (like the Phonons in real crystals), we calibrate the maximal tenable group velocity (vg ) as the known Light velocity C, when we evaluate the energy E of the wave around the limit (vg = 0, a stationary wave) , we obtain E= MC2 , where M is the relativistic Nucleon Mass. Another two main results that emerge from this theory are: the Nuclear Force and also the Gravitational Force, indeed we obtain a numerical formulation for the gravitational con...

The Unification of Mechanics and Electrodynamics (Theory of Everything

General Science Journal, 2019

It is demonstrated that the realms of mechanics and electrodynamics are distinct and separate, but are combined and interact at every level. Examples are given to show that the fundamental mechanical laws of physics apply to both. Further analysis confirms that in all respects, the two realms are negative reciprocals and the mathematical transformation from one to the other is implemented by inversion. This applies to both micro and macrocosms which are also reciprocals. Relativistic equations, properly interpreted and applied, provide the basis for inversion, inertia, anti-gravity, pair production, entanglement, identities, et al., and a comprehensive cosmology emerge as a natural consequence of the theory. If there is any basis to the assumption of "dark matter", then according to the content of this paper, it is simply inertia applied universally. Introduction All salient aspects of this paper were originally stated in a paper presented to the International Scientist's Club, Congress, 2002, Russia 1 , and a subsequent paper the following year, depicting graphical representation and some conclusions 2. The added materials are a logical extension of the precepts identified at that time, or are directly related and were made explicit in subsequent investigations. The formulas of Newtonian mechanics are universal. The outstanding problems therein (inertia and anti-gravity) are resolved as an extension of the following. Galilean relativity is made explicit.

Note: This paper as published will not be changed but the original paper on Academia will be updated with corrections. For example: Appendix 5, last paragraph the sentence should be: "This creates the bond to form the hydrogen molecule."

Proceedings of the international workshop: Unification in Physics and Philosophy 9-11 May 2019, Porvoo and Helsinki, Finland

Journal of Physics: Conference Series, 2020

I am proud to present the proceedings of the international workshop Unification in Physics and Philosophy. The workshop was arranged on May 9th-11th 2019 in Porvoo and Helsinki, Finland. The workshop and its proceedings are devoted to dealing with hard problems in physics and philosophy by unification. The basic idea is to strive for a minimal ontological core of hypothetical laws of nature that naturally resolve hard problems which are caused by disunified theories, and which cannot be properly resolved by focusing only on details of isolated topics. Unification is urgently needed, for neither in physics nor in philosophy do we find a commonly accepted ontological core that could function as a unifying base. A video about the presentations is available: https://youtu.be/w-amqvNfJ\_A Organization and Analytical Table of Contents are available in this pdf.

It seems reasonable to propose “strawman” requirements and progress toward a unified theory to help researchers work toward a common vision [5]. A unified theory will gain acceptance if it: 1-4 Accurately models the mass of the neutron and its decay to a proton, electron and antielectron neutrino. Agrees with the mass of these and other fundamental particles and energies reported by the Particle Data Group [20][26], maintained by University of California at Berkeley and NIST (National Institute of Standards and Testing). Provides a source of constants for the four forces. Unites quantum mechanics and Newtonian gravity. Models atomic binding energy data. Models measured abundance of the elements. Models mass for baryons, mesons and their decay times. Explains and extends the Standard Model. Explains the origin of energy. Explains time and space. Provides the number of neutrons in nature. Explains the Heisenberg and Pauli principles. Explains the double slit experiment. Anticipates EPR measurements. Models and agrees with cosmology expansion curves. Explains accumulation of mass in clusters, galaxies and stars. Explains dark matter and dark energy. Provides a basis for progress regarding life’s enduring questions. Explains perception. Explains evolution of life and development of the body.
