ENHANCED AGRICULTURE ROBOTIC SYSTEM

This article addresses improvement in agriculture processes like automatic planting of seeds on ploughed land by using robot. We have developed a robotic vehicle having four wheels and steered by DC motors. The seed planting mechanism is fitted on the vehicle to plant the seeds in uniform manner. The enhanced agriculture robotic system architecture gives us the opportunity to develop a complete new range of agricultural equipment based on small smart machines. The machine will cultivate the farm by considering particular rows and specific column at fixed distance depending on different seeds. The obstacle detection problem will also be considered, sensed by infrared sensor.Forward movement of the vehicle can be defined by defining delay to microcontroller. Turning of the vehicle can be obtained by position encoder circuit which is fixed to one of the wheel. The complete assembly can be powered by using 12V rechargable battery. The battery can be charged by using solar panel which is also mounted on robot. Assembly language is used in programming the microcontrollers. The whole algorithm, processing, monitoring are designed with dc motors, sensor and encoder circuit. The result obtained through activation unit is also presented.

IndexTerms-Agribot, Irrigation, Automation, spraying, California _______________________________________________________________________________________ I. INTRODUCTION Bangladesh is a major agricultural country. About 87 percent of rural households at least part of their income [1]. Agriculture is the principle of life. Agriculture provides us with food, fodder, and fuel. An agricultural robot, define as an agribot, is a robot designed for use in the agriculture industry. Agribots automate tasks for farmers, boosting the efficiency of production, and reducing the industry's reliance on manual labor [2]. Govt. should be a priority on robotics agriculture because if compared to the other globalization, the usage System of agri make some advancement in this field [3]. Recently, many agricultural tasks have been computerized by several programs and technologies such as robots which are accessible remunerative [4]. This kind of robot is helpful and also user friendly. Nowadays, several industrial applications like material handling, material transfer; processing, inspection & quality control have been used by robots. In recent years, agriculture was most obvious of the idea of mechaniza agricultural field. The aim of usage robots in agriculture to improve food quantity and productivity, reduce labor costs and time. The main reason for robotic agriculture is the unavailability manpower in the agricultural sector and it affects the growth of developing countries [5]. The usage of the robot in agriculture has lots of purposes. Significant value to farmers is provided by the use of robots in agriculture activities. Now robots are successfully used in agriculture like seeding, Irrigation, harvesting, weed control, grove supervision, and etc. significant value to farmers is provided by the use of robots in agriculture activities. When robots are used in the agri environment by use censor, and analyzed the data, take decisions based on data, send commands to take action, automatically stop the robot. Agricultural robot sensors play a key role.Recent emerging applications are robots or drones for weed control. Now need to find more new ways to improve efficiency.

Agriculture Robot for Cultivation of Paddy & Wheat Crops

2021

Agriculture is an essential part of the survival of humans. The farmers who do agriculture spend most of their time ploughing the field and watering the field etc. In the Indian GDP agricultural sector share is 20.5%. In India, almost 50% population depends on the agricultural sector. So, the agricultural system in India is most important and should be advanced to reduce the efforts of farmers. Presently, In some rural villages, small landholding farmers still use work bulls for land preparations. These work bulls are also used in ploughing. And in other villages in which technology is not developed much, there farmers are using tractors for field preparation and ploughing. Robotics is a fascinating field of engineering which provides many opportunities to explore the field. For controlling the robot manually one can make use of a Bluetooth module or WiFi module. Farmers today spend a lot of money on machines that help them decrease labour and increase the yield of crops but the pro...

Multi purpose agricultural robot

— The paper aims on the design, development and the fabrication of the robot which can dig the soil, put the seeds, leveler to close the mud and sprayer to spray water, these whole systems of the robot works with the battery and the solar power. More than 40% of the population in the world chooses agriculture as the primary occupation, in recent years the development of the autonomous vehicles in the agriculture has experienced increased interest. The vehicle is controlled by Relay switch through IR sensor input. The language input allows a user to interact with the robot which is familiar to most of the people. The advantages of these robots are hands-free and fast data input operations. In the field of agricultural autonomous vehicle, a concept is been developed to investigate if multiple small autonomous machine could be more efficient than traditional large tractors and human forces. Keeping the above ideology in mind, a unit with the following feature is designed:  Ploughing is one of the first steps in farming. During this process we till the land and make it ready for the seed sowing. By tilling we mean that a plough will be used which will have teeth's like structure at the end and will be able to turn the top layer of soil down and vice-versa.  Seed sowing comes next where the seeds need to be put in ground at regular intervals and these needs to be controlled automatically. Limiting the flow of seeds from the seeds chamber is typically doing this.  Mud leveler is fitted to close the seeds to the soil and to level the ground.  Water pump sprayer is used to spray the water)

"Autonomous Agriculture robot -AGROBOT SRISHTI"

international journal for research in applied science and engineering technology ijraset, 2020

Concerns over the production of good quality & quantity has been always raised in recent years. The exponentially growing human population, with lesser agriculture resources, made us seek new ways to improve agriculture efficiency. This problem can be solved efficiently using robotics, this in turn has increased the interest and spending, in Agriculture Robotics. Agricultural robot or "Agrobots" are a kind of robot which is used for reducing the labour cost, time and to increase the productivity, quality of the crop. This paper proposes a new type of Autonomous agriculture bot named "SRISHTI" for different uses in the areas of agriculture. The paper also talks about the future scope of agriculture robots especially in developing countries. There are already number of agriculture robot available, but they remain as experiment only and are not implemented on larger scale. This paper also investigates about the possible reason for such case, this paper will focus on the practical feasibility of the agriculture robots. After comparing different types of agriculture robot, it is concluded that practically feasibility of the agriculture robot not only just depends upon the type of technology used, but also depends upon the adaptability of the bot to the surrounding or to the infrastructure. I. INTRODUCTION India being an agriculture-based country, according to the agriculture census of India 62% of the Indian population are dependent on agriculture. The globalization in agriculture is less as compared to other countries. Agriculture plays as the basis of life as it provides us with food, fodder and fuel. The idea of maintaining agricultural environments by smart machines is not new concept, as it provides us good quality and quantity of agriculture products in a small span of time. Engineers have already developed driverless tractors although this can't replace by human operated tractors as this is something which need human assistance. The basic motive behind developing an Agricultural Automation robot is to decreasing labour force, the need for improved food quality. The agricultural bot mainly focuses on the basic problems faced by farmers. i.e. real time quality monitoring of the crop, ploughing, seeding, harvesting, spraying and fruit picking etc. Table1 Depicts the comparison of manual sowing techniques that requires more time and man power than sowing with tractor and Agriculture robot. This comparison tells us the use of robots reduce the time and also make the process more efficient This paper presents the initial step of autonomous agricultural robot. Followed by later stages, of addition of special abilities to robot such as monitoring crop status or weeding for taking sample from field, ploughing, planting and harvesting crops from fields.
