The purpose of the study was to find out the effect of using demonstration method to improve basic stage two pupils performance on the topic building a simple electronic circuit at Juaben Presbyterian primary school. The data for the study was collected using test and interview. A sample size of twenty eight pupils was drawn from the population for the study through the simple random sampling technique. Simple percentage on the frequency distribution table of the scores enabled successful analysis of the data obtained. Results obtained from the analysis indicate that the use of demonstration method in the teaching of natural science topics particularly " simple electronic circuit " is very effective at the basic school level. It was recommended among other things that the ministry of education and for that matter the Ghana education Service (GES) should organize in-service educational programs for primary school teachers so that they will be able to teach natural science and integrated science effectively. There are many teaching methods of teaching science such as activity method, discovery method, discussion method, demonstration method, role play, brainstorming, lecture, field trip laboratory and question and answer method. But in this study the researcher seek to use the demonstrations method of teaching. A demonstration method involves showing, telling and doing something which can be observed by a group of learners. Thus, a teacher may demonstrate how to do something to his/her students in a practical lesson in a class. In demonstration, the teacher is the principal performer whiles the learners are his/her audience.it is usually the major part of all the learning activities which facilitates learning by doing. Demonstration often occurs when students have a hard time in connecting theories to actual practice. In basic two, natural science syllabus has a number of challenging topics which pupils find difficult to understand. Among these topics is the topic " " Energy transformation " " .

This research is motivated by the low understanding of students' concepts in science learning in grade 2 State Elementary Schools. Researchers provide solutions by applying the demonstration method, a learning method by demonstrating items, events, rules and sequences of carrying out an activity, either directly or through the use of teaching media that are relevant to the subject or material being presented. This type of research is classroom action research. This research has two cycles. Each cycle consists of two sessions and four phases, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 2nd grade elementary school students, totaling 21 people. The results of the study concluded that the use of the demonstration method could improve student learning outcomes in science subjects in Grade 2 of State Elementary Schools.

The main problem of this research is low second grade students learning outcomes of Ciampel Elementary School Padalarang subdistrict Bandung Barat Regency in science subject energy source material. Class Action Research has been carried out which aim to improve student learning outcomes in science of energy resource material through the application method demonstration method in the second grade of Ciampel Elementary School. This research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisted of 4 stages. Namely : Planing, action, observation and reflection with the number of 30 students consisting of 10 boys and 20 girls. Trought out the last result of evaluation in the first cycle is obtained mastery of clasical learning amount 63.33% and the average value is 67.66. The result of the last evaluation of the second cycle is obtained mastery of classical learning amount is about 80% and the average value is 72,8. It can be concluded that the application of demonstration method is able t...

The demonstration method is a very effective method, because it helps students to find answers with their own efforts based on facts or correct data by demonstrating both directly and through the use of teaching media that are in accordance with the material presented. Talking about the effectiveness of the demonstration method, the importance of this method can be seen from the way it is applied in learning, one of which is in mathematics learning. Learning mathematics is one of the learning that is often a scary thing for every student. Therefore, to overcome this, a method that suits students during learning is needed. Take this into account. So, the purpose of this study is to see the effectiveness of the demonstration method on student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects. This research is a classroom action study, where this research was carried out on grade II students at SD Negeri 2 Merauke for the 2022/2023 school year. In this study, 24 students were the subjects of t...

The article offers a model including ideas from psychologicalpedagogical theories, which explain how pupils acquire knowledge and which allow a teacher to see the possibilities of applying demonstration experiments within the framework of these theories. There is described the procedure of the carried out pedagogical experiment, put forward the criteria for acquisition of physics and development of learning skills as well as evaluated the effectiveness of the created demonstration experiments model. The model mentioned above envisages more effective acquisition of physical knowledge and skills, deeper understanding of mechanics content and development of learning skills, which is expressed in the quality

This study aimed to increase the interest and learning outcomes of English through Demonstration Method in class II students of As-Shakireen Primary School, Thailand. This research was a classroom action research. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interest scale, and tests. Data analysis techniques were carried out by means of qualitative and quantitative descriptive. Increased interest and English learning outcomes with Demonstration methods carried out from pre-cycle activities, cycle 1 consisting of stages of planning, acting, observation, and reflection. Based on the results of data analysis, it showed the scale of student interest from pre-cycle to cycle with the use of demonstration method has increased. While student learning outcomes also experience an increase as indicated by the average value of students and the average students who exceed the minimum criteria. So that the demonstration method implemented can increase the interest and lea...

The view that mathematics is theorem proving, hence the method of mathematics is the axiomatic method, and the view that mathematics is problem solving, hence the method of mathematics is the analytic method, lead to two different concepts of demonstration: axiomatic demonstration and analytic demonstration . This chapter highlights the limitations of axiomatic demonstration. It maintains that analytic demonstration is the basic concept of demonstration and that, in terms of this concept, it is possible to deal with the question of the depth of demonstrations and theorems. On this basis, the chapter characterizes a view of mathematics, called the heuristic view, in terms of the following features: mathematics is problem solving by the analytic method; mathematical objects are hypotheses human beings make to solve mathematical problems by the analytic method; and analytic demonstration is the basic concept of demonstration.
International Journal of Modern Social Sciences, 2012, 1(1): 29-37 International Journal of Modern Social Sciences Journal homepage: www.ModernScientificPress.com/Journals/IJMSS.aspx Abstract: This study was carried out to determine the effect of lecture and demonstration methods on academic achievement of students in Chemistry in the Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State. Fifty eight (58) Chemistry students (boys and girls) in the Senior Secondary School One (SS1) from two randomly selected schools were involved in the study. Necessary data were collected and the validated reliable data were analyzed using t-test at a significant level of 0.05. Results obtained revealed that students perform better in Chemistry when taught using the demonstration method as compared to the lecture method. The boys and girls are better in academic achievement when taught using demonstration method than when lecture method was used. The demonstration method shows equality in the performance of boys and girls. Hence the adoption of demonstration methods in the teaching and learning of Chemistry and science in general is hereby recommended.
