The Role of Organizational Culture in the Success of Changing Behaviour
Success in meeting the goals of an organization, whether they be business, bureaucratic, administrative, or operational, often depends on the ability of that organization to learn from experience and effect appropriate positive changes as quickly as possible. Some are successful, while others fail. This chapter examines the realities of organizational cultures and describes both roadblocks and facilitators to productive change. In a competitive environment, properly considered change in procedures can often mean continued survival. This requires a collective yet well led effort to pursue the objective of continuous improvement and adaptation.

Businesses are dynamic, undergoing continuous transitions, due to globalization, technological advancements, tough competitive environment, changes in consumer preferences, social & economical changes or government policies & procedures, leaving no choice for organizations other than adapting change for survival, growth and development. This created a complete new concept of organizational change resulted due to occurrences of changes in organizational system that disturb by internal & external forces of change. The present study reviews the types & theories of change. The change is often undesirable & face resistance due to several factors like are preference for status quo, fear of unknown, social displacements, obsolescence of skills, economic factors, peer pressure, resource limitations, organizational structure, etc. The present considers employee participation as a pre-requisite for introducing change in organization & reduces resistance. The descriptive study is done conducting a survey at BCL Ltd., Bathinda. The responses collected were analyzed t-test.
ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE AND ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE
Organizational change is triggered by the ever changing business environment, political, economic, cultural, competitor initiatives, technological innovations, globalization, or restructuring, among others. This paper discusses the crucial aspects of dealing with the volatile business environment looking at how best to manage change. It focuses on organization development which is a broad term comprising, among other things, organizational culture and organizational change. Organizational Development (OD) is seen as mostly proactive, that is, is initiated by managers/owners and focuses on how best to develop an organization. It runs from the initial stage of inception of ideas to form an organization (start-up stage) all through to the development working structures and strategic goals. On the other hand, organizational culture focuses on how best the so formed organization and structures can be safeguarded, how best to achieve the set goals, how to carry ourselves around. In other words, organizational culture attempts to freeze the developments or changes made so far in such a way that they are more effective and efficiently used. However, the organization is surrounded by so many factors, both within and without, that are ever changing and can trigger a change, even to the best laid plans. Here is where organizational change comes in. Organizational change is both proactive and reactive. If it is planned and initiated by management, then it is proactive. But if it is in response to externalities or even internal shocks, then it is reactive. Organizational change focuses on unfreezing the existing structures and cultures in an attempt to make the organization affluent with the current technologies and challenges. Hence, there exists interplay between organizational development, organizational culture and organizational change, which forms the interest of this discussion.
Most important and challenging task in today’s scenario is leading and managing organizational change. Managing Organizational change is very difficult situation for top management, managers, and very much harder for organization as well as change agents to trained and manages for change in keeping in mind about win- win situation for both organization and employees of the organization. Change is inevitable. Nothing is permanent except change .it is duty of the management to mange change properly. Organization must carefully observe the environment and incorporate suitable changes the situation demand. Change is a continuous process organization must be proactive in affecting changes. Even in most stable organization change is necessary just to keep the level of suitability. The major environmental forces that make the change necessary are technology market force and socio economic factors. Resistance to change is not desirable. It is counterproductive for growth and destructive in nature. Manager must evolve policies to affect change. Main purpose of this study is to assess the perception of employees for organizational change on the basis of demographics of employees. The impact of organisational culture on attitudes towards change
906 employees from 38 Estonian companies were studied in order to explore how task orientation and relationship orientation of organisational culture influence employees' attitudes towards the organisational change process in the context of various socio-demographic characteristics. According to this survey, peoples' attitudes towards change are more influenced by task orientation of organisational culture than by relationship orientation.

Studies About The Influence Of The Attitude Towards Change Work In A Modern Organizations
In this paper, the authors' intention was to present the results of the research carried out at a modern organization regarding the influence of the attitude towards change, but also of the mentality towards work. They took into consideration the importance of the resources of the organization, also emphasizing the human resources. There is a strong connection, a mutual determination between the general management of the organization and the state of the organizational climate. By applying two standardized questionnaires regarding the attitude towards change and the mentality towards work, valuable information has been obtained, regarding the general state and the state of the influential factors taken into account. By analyzing each factor at a time, we could realize the problems of the organization regarding the analyzed and approached aspects, allowing us to present a series of conclusions and personal proposals to the management team of the organization. We may state that in fact our conclusions and proposals were truly appreciated and were comprised in programmes of remedying the signaled deficiencies.
