Today, significant developments are taking place in the field of communication. IPTV, which consists of a combination of internet and television, is the most important of these developments. IPTV is very different from the traditional concept of television. Because this system is using broadband internet network for providing services to subscribers. All applications of IPTV are fully interactive and individual. Users will be able to choose the broadcasting content as they want. As well as, they will be able to buy their preferred program with Video on demand (VoD) application. IPTV technology makes possible to send voice, video and data services at the same time with Triple Play service. Advertising industry will gain a different dimension thanks to IPTV. Users will be able to get advertisements through addressable advertising as they want. Countries are making major investments to IPTV due to the commercial size. In addition to all this, IPTV services are required to take strict security measures. Otherwise, users may be subject of hacker attacks and personal information can be taken without permission. As a result of these progressions, in the future IPTV technology will provide great benefits to humanity. Despite all of this studies, IPTV is not seen desired level in the world.
