International Congress of Islamic Education organized by YEKDER DEA with the collaboration with Marmara University, Faculty of Theology, was held on 27th-28th of April 2018 in Istanbul, with the participation of different academicians, educators and experts from 15 different country. In the Congress, 84 papers were presented by 93 writers. There were 21 international scientists from 15 different countries. In the International Congress of Islamic Education, under the theme of “The Educational Concepts in the Tradition of Islamic Thought”, there were 26 Turkish and 5 English sessions during two days, with the general themes of The Institutions in Islamic Education: Historical Experience, Educational Thinkers, Education of Religion for Different Age Groups, Islamic Educators, Education of Religion in the Islamic Countries, Education of Religion in the Non-muslim Countries, Education of Religion in the Formal Education Institutions and Imam Hatip, Dirocterate of Religious Affairs and Non-Formal Education of Religion Services, Communities and NGOs. The book of The International Congress of Islamic Education 2018 is a collected work in order to protect the accumulation of knowledge produced in Congress, and provide an opportunity to overcome the boundaries of the modern Western educational system and turn into our cultural and traditional roots. The book that you have is consisted of the sent full-papers that presented in the Congress. We would love to thank to the members of YEKDER, Yusuf Alpaydın, Hafsa Nur Aslanoğlu, Arife Gümüş, Merve Akkuş Güvendi, the Dean of the Marmara University Faculty of Teology Ali Köse, and academicians Emine Keskiner, Banu Gürer, our members of the scientific committee, the listeners, educationers for their efforts and supports during the preperation process for the Congress and during the Congress. We hope this book would be beneficial to the people who are interested in Islamic Education.
