IMPACTO DA ADOÇÃO DE BIM NA AVALIAÇÃO DE ENERGIA INCORPORADA DO CICLO DE VIDA DE EDIFICAÇÕES (original) (raw)

It is known that buildings consume significant amounts of energy, and produce large amounts of CO2 from the process of production of construction materials, the energy required for the construction and operation of the building, to the demolition. A significant portion of the impacts of the life cycle of a building is determined by decisions taken in the early stages of the project. The purpose of this research is to verify the possible impact of the adoption of BIM to evaluate the embodied energy into the "cradle to keys". The method used was a comparative survey of a workflow in LCA and a workflow in LCA with the adoption of BIM, made from references. The comparison between the two workflows showed have impact from the adoption of BIM in the flow of the LCA, both in the design process, as in data collection, which become more accurate and consistent. Thus, the BIM-based LCA can provide the construction sector a reliable tool to measure its performance and environmental impact, as well as a means to identify areas for improvement.
