11.Teaching Aptitude of Elementary and Secondary Level Teacher Educators

The study was conducted to study the teaching aptitude of elementary and secondary teacher educators of Kashmir division. The sample for the present study was 300 including 150 elementary teacher educators and 150 secondary teacher educators by using simple random sampling technique. For the measurement of teaching aptitude of elementary and secondary level teacher educators, Shamim Karim and A.K. Dixit's teaching aptitude test battery was used. It was found that elementary teacher educators have more teaching aptitude as compared to secondary teacher educators on total score of teaching aptitude test battery. Among the eight dimensions, six dimensions were showing significant difference on teaching aptitude of elementary and secondary teacher educators.

Teaching Aptitude of Teachers: A Need to Understand

In present article author has dealt with most important aspect of teaching profession i.e. teaching aptitude and tried to explore its concept, nature, characteristics, need and importance. This smallest effort of author will definitely be proved fruitful to the prospective teachers as well as the teachers who already contributing and serving in teaching profession.

A STUDY OF TEACHING APTITUDE OF PUPIL-TEACHERS

An aptitude is acquired or natural ability for learning and proficiency in a specific area or discipline. Attitude is expressed in interest, and is reflected in current performance which is expected to improve over time with training. The present study is based on the teaching aptitude of pupil-teachers of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal (Central) University affiliated college. Pupil-teachers of Govt. Degree College, Nainidanda, Pauri Garhwal were selected as sample of the study. The research tool developed and standarized by Dr. R. P. Singh and Dr. S. N. Sharma and descriptive research method was used in the present study. ‘t’ test of significance was used. The present study shows that there was no significant difference between teaching aptitude of male and female pupil-teachers. The results of the study shows that no significance difference was observed between the teaching aptitude of pupil-teachers on the basis of their caste, living area, family type and but on the basis of subject stream significant difference was found.

A Study on Teaching Aptitude of Trainee Teachers in Relation Totheir Sex and Locality of Institute

This paper deals with the teaching aptitude of D.El.Ed trainee teachers who will be future pillar of our society.The sample for the study consisted of 104 D.El.Ed trainee teachers studying in different Government and private colleges in Purba Midnapur district of West Bengal. The research tool Teaching Aptitude Test used in this study is developed by Dr. R. P. Singh and Dr. S. N. Sharma and descriptive research method was used in the present study. In the present study Mean & SD was used to find out the status of obtained score and‘t’ test of significance was used to compare the Mean values from two samples. The present study shows that gender or locality does not have any impact on teaching aptitude of trainee teachers of Purba Midnapur district of West Bengal.

TEACHING APTITUDE AMONG B.Ed. TRAINEES: A STUDY

The present study investigated the aptitude of B.Ed. trainees towards teaching. The objectives of the study were: (i) To compare teaching aptitude of male and female B.Ed students. (ii) To compare teaching aptitude of B.Ed. students of Arts and Science stream. (iii) To compare teaching aptitude of B.Ed students studying in self-financed and government aided institutions. The study was conducted on a sample of 100 B.Ed students of Allahabad city. Teaching Aptitude Test developed by S. S. Dahiya and L. C. Singh was used as a tool for the study. t-ratio was computed for the analysis of the data. The findings of the study revealed-(i) There is no significant difference in teaching aptitude of male and female B.Ed. students. (ii) There is no significant difference in teaching aptitude B.Ed. students of Arts and Science stream. (iii) There is no significant difference in teaching aptitude of B.Ed. students studying in selffinanced and government aided institutions. Aptitude is an important characteristic of an individual which can predict the future success of failure of an individual in an occupation. Aptitude is a specific ability or a specific capacity distinct from general intellectual ability, which helps an individual to acquire degree of proficiency or achievement in a specific field. Traxler (1957) is of the view that aptitude is a condition, a quality or a set of qualities in an individual which is indicative of the probable extent to which he will be able to acquire under suitable training, some knowledge, skill, understanding to do certain things. If an individual has an aptitude towards something then there are chances of his/her success in that particular area. TEACHER EFFECTIVENESS OF SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN RELATION TO THEIR TEACHING APTITUDE

The teacher is most essential in the education field and he/she is the most important pillar in the development of schooling. Teaching aptitude of teacher is a significant issue in teaching and learning progress. The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship between teacher effectiveness and teaching aptitude of teachers. The sample comprised one hundred secondary school teachers working in secondary schools of Bangalore South District selecting by simple random sampling technique. The Teaching Aptitude Scale developed by Dahiya and Singh (2004) and Teacher Effectiveness Scale (2006) developed & standardized by Umme Kulsum was utilized for data processing. The Pearson?s Product Moment Coefficient of Correlation, ?t? and F Test statistical procedures were applied to examine the formulated hypotheses. The correlation result shows significant relationship between Teacher Effectiveness and Teaching Aptitude of secondary school teachers and from ?t? and ?F? test statistical procedures gender and type of school management factors were influences on Effectiveness in Teaching. The female teachers had higher effectiveness in teaching than male teachers and private unaided school teachers had more effective when compared with teachers from private aided and government schools. The study suggests that there should be further focal point on developing aptitude skills among teachers through well supervised practices to improve their teacher effectiveness.

A Study of Teaching Aptitude Among B.ED Students

TEACHING APTITUDE OF PUPIL TEACHERS IN RELATION TO THEIR INTELLIGENCE, GENDER AND LOCALITY

ABSTRCT The present study has explored about teaching aptitude of pupil teachers in relation to their intelligence, gender and locality. A representative sample of 200 pupil teachers from B.Ed. colleges of rohtak district was randomly selected. Teaching aptitude scale (2002) by L.C. Singh and Dahiya and test of general intelligence (2012) by S.K.Pal & K.S.Mishra were used to measure teaching aptitude and general intelligence of pupil teachers. The study depicts that there is significant difference in teaching aptitude between high intelligent and low intelligent pupil teachers revealing that high intelligent group have high teaching aptitude than low intelligent group. While teaching aptitude has no relevance with the gender of the individual but on the other hand teaching aptitude of an individual is affected by his/her family background or his/her place of living.
