Through bibliometric analysis of articles published in the International Journal of Research in Library Science between 2015 to 2022, 334 articles were identified from the Google Scholar database. The paper was observed for 270 out of 334 records, and duplicate files removed from the study were found in the database. The analysis focuses on the geographic distribution of authors as well as the issue-by-issue and authorship pattern distribution of publications. The investigation looked at 270 papers that were published in the International Journal of Research in Library Science over the course of a few years. The maximum was 80(29.62%) articles published in 2021 and the minimum of 4(1.48%) articles published in 2019. The highest contribution by two authors was 115, while only 96 were contributed by single authors. Most of the contributions were from India, according to the study. DESIDOC Journal of Library & Information Technology, 2022
The paper analysed 699 papers published in Library & Information Science Research (LISR) during the period of 1994-2020. Google Scholar was used to obtain the number of citations received by these papers until April 30, 2021. The study examined the geographical distribution of published articles and also identified prolific institutions and authors. The study examined the impact of output of countries, institutions and authors using citation per paper (CPP) and i-10 index as indicators of impact. The study also examined the pattern of growth and identified the highly cited papers. Based on the analysis of data it is observed that maximum articles were published during the three years block of 2015-2017. The geographical distribution of output indicates that 51 countries contributed the 699 papers. Highest number of papers was contributed by authors from the USA though it had a low value of CPP in comparison to Norway and Finland. Among the institutions, Florida State University (USA) topped the list. However, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA had the highest value of CPP. During the period of study, 1,389 papers received 74,061 citations, of which only 41 (3 %) articles remained uncited.
Bibliometric analysis of Annals of Library and Information Studies (2002-2006), 2008
MANLIBNET 9th Annual National …, 2008
Bibliometrics is an emerging thrust area of research and has now become a well established part of information research and a quantitative approach to the description of documents. Bibliometrics has grown out of the realization that literature is growing and changing out of a rate with which no librarian or information worker equipped with traditional bibliographic skills and methods could keep abreast. The present study shows that journals are most cited form of communication amongst the library and information scientists and the source journal is the most cited publication. The bibliometric analysis of the journal "Annals of Library and Information Studies (2002-2006)" shows a trend of growth in contributions and average number of contributions is 21.4 per volume. Majority of the library and information scientists prefer to do collaborative research and contribute their papers jointly. Most of the contributions are on Bibliometrics (36.45%). IT & Digital technologies in Libraries have also got sufficient papers. The institutional and geographical distribution of contributions is calculated. Most of the contributions are with citations. Majority of the library and information scientists have cited journals in large number (50.15%) while books comes on second with 273 (19.96%) citations. 'Annals of Library & Information Studies' occupies the 1st rank & 'Scientometrics' occupies the 2nd rank in the ranked list of cited journals.

Bibliometric assessment is the combination of mathematical and statistical analysis of scholarly communication. This method has been applied to assess the strength, trends, and pattern of the published scholarly literature. Library and information professionals have been using this technique to calculate the academic contents and provide quantitative analysis. The purpose of this study is to analyze the research output published in Annals of Library and Information Studies (ALIS) during the period of 2009 to 2015. The data of this study have been downloaded from the website of ALIS. This result of the study provides the growth of publications by year, country-wise distribution of articles, the pattern of authorship, lengths of articles, and list of productive authors during the period under study.
