Abstract

This contribution publishes for the first time a wooden scribal palette in the Cairo Museum (King Farouk Coll. no. 825). The object belongs to a man named s3-Jmn who served as a ‘scribe of the royal son’. In light of its inscriptional material, the palette is of Roman date. It provides a rare attestation for the title ‘zS-n-z3-nswt’ in Roman Egypt.
