The socio-political and economic situation in the World has obvious effects on all of us in the global arena. Subsequently, there are a lot of discussions on the nationalization and internationalization of education, particularly higher education in America and Europe, as well as in Africa. But what is the internationalization of higher education if not a futuristic outlook that involves ‘seeing beyond ourselves’? Issues raised include the nationalization and internationalization of higher education and the quality of education standards that inevitably lead to how the quality of courses can be evaluated and improved. A definition of quality will include various facets such as standards of programmes, teaching and learning, research and publications, degrees and institutional resources. This paper advances the psychology of learning through the internationalization of higher education in Africa from a global perspective.
