This research investigates the vocabulary differences between topic starters and followers related to non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) in LiveJournal communities. By constructing a directed, weighted interaction network from a sizable dataset, the study analyzes centrality measures and identifies topics of discourse (ToDs) through semantic network analysis. Results demonstrate significant relationships between user roles in the network and their language use, highlighting the function of vocabulary in supportive online environments.
