Fissocantharis Pic, 1921 is one of the most diverse cantharid genera in Taiwan, with 23 species and one subspecies. Recently, Cephalomalthinus Pic, 1921 has been recovered as the senior synonym of Fissocantharis. Therefore, in order to clearly cite the total number of species in future works, an updated checklist of Cephalomalthinus soldier beetles of Taiwan, including Chinese names is provided.
