Cultural History, vol. 9, no. 2 (2020), Special issue: Global Cultural History
This special issue of Cultural History builds on the five plenary lectures given at the 12th Annual Conference of the International Society for Cultural History, held in Tallinn University, Estonia, on 26–29 June 2019 (http://isch2019.tlu.ee). Its main aim is not to promote the global turn in cultural history; rather, it proposes to broaden the scope of cultural history as commonly practised and to conceptualize and problematize the value added by the notion of the global. The special issue features a historiographic and methodological introduction by Marek Tamm, followed by five research articles, written by Peter Burke, Anne Gerritsen, Maria Lúcia G. Pallares-Burke, Sujit Sivasundaram and Matthias Middell.
