This project is aimed at developing a Time Table Generator for Colleges. Timetable generation is a very well known problem that is faced in every educational institution. The problem actually occurs when there are clashes among the preferences given by the staffs. Colleges are supposed to make time tables for each semester which used to be a very tedious and pain staking job. Student is eligible for viewing his timetable once they are finalized for a given semester. Staff also is eligible for viewing Staff timetable once they are finalized for a given semester and Class Allot.The objective of the Time Table Allotment for any department project was to develop an application that enables allotment subject to staff as well as classes for students. Administrator Added the Following details for Add the Student, Add Staff, Add Subject, Time Table Entry, Time Table Update.

IJESRTDYNAMIC TIME TABLE GENERATION SYSTEM FOR COLLEGE

The class timetabling problem is a typical scheduling problem that appears to be a verytedious job in every academic institute. Time table scheduling is done manually with single person or group of persons involved in the task. This task takes a lot of effort and time. Due to manual approach, proper use of resources is not effective and efficient also. So to overcome the drawback of existing system we propose to make an automated system for timetable generation.Our system take various inputs such as number of subjects, teachers, depending upon these inputs it will generate possible time tables for working days of the week.Then depending on departments we can generate time table,we have utilized advance java, MySQL, Apache and CSS in its development.

THE ANALYSIS OF THE TIME TABLE STRUCTURE WITHIN A STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (SIS)

This paper will show the result of the analysis and synthesis processes that take place when making a time table for a University Information System (UIS), especially for SIS.This proposed paper does the comparison between two methods of designing a time table, shows the advantages and disadvantages of these methods and more precisely how to implement each of them using programming languages.

The manual system of preparing time table in colleges with large number of students is very time consuming and usually ends up with various classes clashing either at same room or with same teachers having more than one class at a time. to overcome all these problems , propose to make an automated system. The system will take various inputs like details of students, subjects and class rooms and teachers available, depending upon these inputs it will generate a possible time tabble, making optimal utilization of all resources in a way that will best suit any of constraints or college rules. The hand operated system of time table preparation in colleges is very monotonous and time-consuming which results in either the same teachers ending up with more than one class at a time or a number of classes conflicting at the same classroom. Due to a non-automatic perspective, absolute utilization of resources has proven ineffective. In order to deal with such problems, a mechanized system can be designed with a computer aided timetable generator. The system will take different inputs like number of subjects, teachers, maximum lectures a teacher can conduct, priority of subject and topics to be covered in a week or a lecture, considering which, it will create feasible time tables for working days of the week, making excellent application of all resources in a way which will be best suited for the constraints. A suitable timetable is then chosen from the optimal solutions generated.

Time table generation is tedious job for educationalist with respect to time and man power. Providing a automatic time table generator will help to generate time table automatically. Proposed system of our project will help to generate it automatically also helps to save time. It avoids the complexity of setting and managing Timetable manually. In our project we are going to use algorithms like genetic, heuristic, resource scheduling to reduce these difficulties of generating timetable. These algorithms incorporate a numeral of strategy, aimed to improve the operativeness of the search operation. The system will take various inputs like number of subjects, teachers, workload of a teacher, semester, priority of subject. By relying on these inputs, it will generate possible time tables for working days of the week for teaching faculty. This will integrate by making optimal use of all resources in a way that will best suit the constraints.

The process of preparing class schedules is a lengthy and painstaking experience, especially when the requirements on the system approach saturation capacity. Instructors have to be assigned to places, with different capacities, for lectures, tutorials and laboratories, within the available time slots per day and working days per week, to satisfy the courses offered in a given semester. This paper analyzes the problem, discusses two approaches to solve it using manual trial and error and mathematical programming, and suggests a spreadsheet program to maintain the obtained solution. The author demonstrates that spreadsheets are a very efficient computational environment for maintaining up to date class schedules, producing useful reports, solving class conflicts, and planning for future extension of the college.
