Background/Objectives: Inventory management is looked upon as a day to day operation concern. The major function of inventory management system is the supervision of supplies and materials throughout the defined acquisitions from procurement to consumption point in an organization. Methods/Statistical analysis: In this research, the proponent concern is to design and develop an Online Inventory Management Systems for Bulacan State University (BulSU) Supply Office including all its satellite campuses around Bulacan, Philippines. Findings: The proponent considered several system functionalities which were incorporated into the developed system like creation of user account for the administrator and different users; automated inventory management systems; managing the records easier, faster and more secured; and generation of different reports. Improvements/Applications: Only the administrator and registered user can access the system but only the administrator can manipulate all the features in the system.

This software project is a web-based inventory management system for a small business enterprise established in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines. It primarily supports the business owner of the said business enterprise to perform regular inventory management online through a web platform. This mechanism did not only improve the overall business process but also enabled the business owner to manage inventories with efficiency and convenience. The enterprise comprises four branches and a mobile store that strolls around the city to cater to customer needs. In addition, the current mechanism of conducting inventory management is purely manual through the use of paper files, which overwhelmed the business owner with several challenges, including data inaccuracy due to the reliance on using papers where data are recorded and process inefficiency due to the manual recording and distribution of inventory and sales reports. This software project addressed these challenges by eliminating these manual approaches through an automated computing solution using a web platform where data are electronically recorded and processed, and reports are electronically produced.

Inventory Management is one of the basic problems in almost every company. Before computer age and integration, paper tables and paperwork solutions were being used as inventory management tools. These we very far from being a solution, took so much time, even needed employees just for this section of organization. There was no an efficient solution available in the many companies during these days. Every process was based on paperwork, human fault rate was high, the process and the tracing the inventory losses were not possible, and there was no efficient logging systems. After the computer age, every process is started to be integrated into electronic environment. And now we have qualified technology to implement new solutions to these problems. Software based systems bring the advantages of having the most efficient control with less effort and employees. These developments provide new solutions for also inventory management systems in this context. In this paper, a new solution for Inventory Management System (IMS) is designed and implemented. Most importantly, this system is designed for Kadir Has University and used as Inventory Management System.

This paper describes the Inventory Management System sufficiently to determine the feasibility and usability of a finished system. The core concept is to track the sale of items from the cash registers with additional features for interpreting the data. It uses a client-server model with a connected database to allow multiple stores and warehouses to be connected. This allows for later expansion while still supporting the targeted small businesses. The core features and final framework should be completed within 2 weeks, leaving 5 weeks to implement additional features and testing.
