Actions that are environmentally friendly are increasingly being undertaken by private organizations, the public entities and the community. This process strives to meet the needs of society and to maintain balance between the natural environment and the economic activity. One of the solutions is sustainable building for energy efficient buildings, waste recycling and water saving and in addition, the use of renewable energy, regional materials and raw materials, recycled and environmentally friendly, as well as the promotion of bicycles and public transport. The process of making a dialogue between the local authority and residents is supported by spatial information acquisition and processing technologies and Internet communication tools The aim of the article is to analyze the resource-efficient and effective projects implemented in the city and to indicate the benefits for the economy. These benefits are to be achieved through green innovations that combine innovation with environmental sensitivity and ecological awareness.

Green technologies per la riqualificazione ambientale delle infrastrutture

2013

Green technologies for the environmental upgrading of infrastructures Abstract: Over the last few decades, the globalization phenomenon has determined the exponential development – from an economic, cultural and political standpoint – of traffic flows, the number of means and infrastructures involved in communication and exchange. At the same time, these represent one of the most complicated environmental issues of contemporary times, but perhaps also one of the most outstanding opportunities for setting up processes aimed at upgrading the territory and its constructions, towards environmental regeneration and social reorganization. These, in turn, would produce and spread (as in some already established examples of infrastructure upgrading) innovative and more sustainable forms of urban lifestyles.

Towards a sustainable development through eco-innovation

Eco-innovation plays an important role in the implementation of sustainable development. The overall objective of eco-innovation is to reduce impact on the environment, as well as to create new market opportunities, products, services or processes aimed at improving environmental performance. Eco-innovation generates changes not only in companies but also in their environment, i.e. within existing socio-cultural norms and institutional structures. The aim of this article is to identify how eco-innovations can support sustainable development, as well as to analyze the possibilities and limitations of their implementation in Poland. The study shows that eco-innovations are interpreted in literature, not only-in general-as a tool for sustainable development, but also in terms of process and as a source of ecological and economic effects. The results of this analysis indicate that eco-innovation is a tool for sustainable development at the enterprise, society and state levels, which should be applied throughout the product or service life-cycle in order to contribute to the achievement of economic and environmental benefits. Its implementation is dependent on numerous drivers and barriers. In order to overcome current difficulties, significant support from the state is required because ecoinnovations are associated with multiple barriers independent of companies. Eco-innovations can be supported by changes in the economic-political system.

An Approach in the Direction of Green City Concept-''Sustainable Development''

IRJET, 2022

Green city concept, in broader terms, involves a building, that is intended, built, used, supported or reused with goals to safeguard resident health, improve worker productivity, use wisely natural resources and scale back the environmental impact. In different words the green city method incorporates environmental concerns into each stage of the building construction. This method focuses on the planning, construction, operation and maintenance phases and takes under consideration the ton style and development potency, energy and water potency, resource potency, indoor environmental quality, building-owner maintenance and therefore the building’s overall impact on the surroundings. the planning of inexperienced buildings ought to so begin with the choice and use of eco-friendly materials with connected or higher options than ancient building materials. Building materials are sometimes hand-picked through practical, technical and monetary needs. However, with property as an important issue within the last decades, the building sector, directly or indirectly inflicting a substantial part of the annual environmental deterioration, will take up the requirement to contribute to property development by finding a lot of environmentally benign ways of construction and building. Among the directions for solutions is to be found in new material applications, use and recycle, property production of product or use of inexperienced resources, Careful choice of eco-friendly property building materials could also be the quickest method for builders to begin integration property style ideas in buildings. Therefore, choice of construction materials that have minimum environmental burdens is beneficial within the property development of a nation. the aim of this paper is to spotlight however property artefact will contribute to reduce the impact of environmental degradation, and generate healthy city which might be property to the indwelled further as our surroundings.

Eco-Innovation – an Important Tool to Support Sustainable Growth

2019

The whole development process along the history of the society was based on the innovation and the applications of the innovation in different areas. Especially during the last century, innovation was considered the engine of the development due to its huge importance in reaching and maintaining a high rate of growth for the world’s economies. The innovation process has now a specific feature, namely the orientation to the environmental problems which affect the whole planet; according to this orientation, a new type of innovation is recognized – the eco-innovation. Our paper aims to introduce and characterize the eco-innovation, to present the importance of this process in the context of sustainable development, to highlight the EU environmental policies which include the concept of eco-innovation and to exemplify some positive achievements in the field.

Beyond Green Innovation: The Next Step

Journal on Innovation and Sustainability. RISUS ISSN 2179-3565

Sustainable development involves complex issues to be considered, and great challenges to be overcome in the short and long term. Its impact depends on the changes the means of production and consumption of goods have suffered lately. To start with there are important differences regarding sustainable and “green” consumption that should be considered; and yet research on most sustainable consumption is still considering consumption in detriment of its relationship to other relevant frameworks. In addition, these studies emerged from economic and engineering perspectives only, when there is a clear need for a more interdisciplinary approach based on social, cultural, anthropologic, psychological and philosophic foundations. In fact the quest for sustainability needs to consider the basic issue of consumer patterns and hence relates to what is now called green. In the end the final question is: In case Prosperity without growth may be possible, how this may be attained to satisfy glob...
