The starting point of the study was the results of an experiment involving approximately 1500 people aged 14 24 by the Royal Society for Public Health in the UK (RSPH). In the experiment, the most popular applications of social media which are YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and Twitter were investigated about the effects of them on young people. Questions were asked about depression, anxiety, loneliness, fear and external appearance through the social media platform that the participants used the most. According to the results, Instagram is the most harmful platform for the mental health of young people. The purpose of this study is, the development of a scale to determine the negative aspects of Instagram's members of the Z generation who are born in a digital age in other words after the year determined during the Brainstorming session with the Z group member group, were used. In order to determine the negative aspects of Instagram in the social networks according to the Z generation, it was aimed to evaluate the related perceptions and attitudes of these people. In order to carry out this evaluation, a 5-point Likert-based scale was developed and analyzed with statistical devices.
