ROLE OF E-LEARNING IN THE PREVALENT SOCIAL CONDITIONS OF INDIAN SOCIETY IN THE POST-PANDEMIC ERA

The pandemic period characterized by the sudden spread out of the most virulent type of coronavirus has brought the world house arrest, sloth the pace of the growing and developing economy suddenly. People were not ready to tackle the situation, so many mishaps, destruction, and mortality rates increased with unknown leaps and bounds, to which no one could find a solution unless and until vaccines came out. The pandemic slaughtered the education system, job losses, and slashed economic growth all over the world. The high point of the discussion of this piece of paper is to discuss how the education system was badly affected, institutions were closed down, the school dropout rate increased, the family system collapsed, and the student community became teacher less, guide less and mentor less. The system of education from the jeopardized situation came alive with the help of the internet and e-learning. The social infrastructure of India comprises a huge digital divide due to disproportionate economic structures like the rich, upper middle class, middle class, below the poverty line, etc. The people belonging to middle-class strata earn their living for regular livelihood and not for fashion or maintaining the status quo. The study aims to identify the impact of electronic learning or e-learning on the socioeconomic strata or infrastructure of India. The propensity of using electronic media for learning suddenly increased during the pandemic, there was a stiff growth in the sale of smartphones, and every family member managed their expenses to maintain smartphones for their office use complying with work-from-home norms, educational purposes, and other social communication purposes. The education sector could be managed from the effect of lockdown by the use of e-learning methodologies, the traditional classroom transaction practices reached the extremely remote corner of the household with the advent of e-learning. Each and every household member got aware of the usage of digital devices and learned the value of using the devices for the necessary purpose. This study highlights the issues related to e-learning solutions. This includes considering e-learning in relation to education and society, and the changes faced and acknowledged by the education system. The study then provides an overview of the impact of e-learning on the socioeconomic strata of Indian society.
Role of E-Learning in Indian Education System
Today it had become an era of digital world where everything from pen to medicines is available in the internet. Now the youth and the technology are non-separable part. It makes the toughest time consuming job into an easier one. Use of e-learning has a positive trend from school to college education in India. In city schools smart class rooms with projectors for video is available and it improves the level of understanding. In higher secondary level children are provided with tabs such that it can be used for getting the study materials, video lectures, demos, webinars and online tests. Analyzing the efficiency and acceptability of this process is mandatory to assure the educationalist and also the parents. This work focuses majorly in available e-learning systems, skill requirement needed and the merits of e-learning for students. Education has a major role in good community development and also in employment opportunity. Is 'E-Learning' a Sustainable Solution to COVID- 19 Induced Education Crisis in India?

Education is like food rich in various nutrients required to keep the mind healthy. From ‘gurukul’ to ‘digi-kul’ education, especially professional education has evolved tremendously in the last decade. This journey has traversed paths intermittent with ‘open air’ learning to customize learning, from blackboard-based learning to technology based learning. Though smart boards and computers were being increasingly used in classroom-based teaching in the recent past, no one had imagined a scenario where institutions would be devoid of students and teachers, while attendance would be marked in a virtual classroom. The COVID-19 pandemic taught us to adapt to a new normal, so after an initial break of two to three months people got back to business in new ways. ‘Comeback’ was the answer to ‘setback’. But is this ‘new normal’ inclusive? Have we left behind a vulnerable yet very important segment of our population? If education means imparting knowledge, teaching and training young minds, is E-learning reaching and influencing young minds? This paper attempts to present the authors’ views on this subject.
E-Learning -An Online Educational Platform Challenges and Futuristic Scope in Rural India
E-Learning in India is a part of new dynamics that characterises the educational system. It has come a long way with the development of technology. India is one of the nations that is developing at an exponential rate in terms of technology. With a population of more than 1.3 billion, the availability of high-speed internet and smartphones, India has the most number of technologically driven persons. The rise of the internet has changed the way of life in India. People like to do everything online, they shop online, do business online, make friends online, learn online, etc. While e-Commerce is the most significant online industry, online education and learning stand right next to it. With the ever-increasing information available on the internet and the countless number of online courses, many people in India prefer to learn online. Besides being engaging and interactive, e-learning has come across as a flexible learning method for students getting access to world-class learning material despite geographical restraints. When the learner gets access to both visuals and audio, learning becomes more fun, and this is what the e-learning industry is thriving on to presently grow at a steady rate of 25 per cent year on year. A report by KPMG and Google highlights that by 2021 the Indian online education industry is likely to witness a 6X growth. The adoption of e-learning technologies is supposed to expand from 1.6million users in 2016 to 9.6 million users in 2021. This global trend is catching up as an unrivalled alternative to traditional learning methods by connecting the learner directly to a subject matter expert. The key factors leading to the growth of the digital market in India are rising demand from various segments, growing number of smartphone users, improving penetration of internet, and increasing participation at the government level. New age technology platforms help in assessing the performance of students, teachers and institutions as a whole and are increasingly being adopted by educational institutions in India. Cloud-based platforms which help classroom go paperless are also finding takers. Also apart from the latest developments in ICT classrooms, Augmented Reality and Virtual reality is being adopted in the field of education. The study was intended to investigate problems related to e-Learning in higher education in India along with analysis of prospect of e-Learning in the related area. The research has been done on the Under Graduate students and faculties of Mumbai and its suburbs. The study shows the positive effects of E-Learning for the higher education system in India. And the only way to sustain a better future is by educating the younger generation with effective and efficient education methodologies

E-learning activities are important for the development of any country. In modern era everybody is thinking about growth and Educational development. If it is planned properly then proper results will come. In this research paper development through E-learning in India is observed. If it planned properly then proper results will be affecting positively. In this research paper, we observed that E-learning is an effective tool for development of educational sector in India. E-learning is learning, utilizing electronic technologies to access educational curriculum outside of a traditional classroom. In most cases, it refers to a course, program or degree delivered completely online. The basic objective of this research paper is to understand concept of e-learning and to examine the type of e-learning. It also summarizes several opinions regarding the comparison between traditional learning and modern learning technique. The modern method in teaching and learning are useful for development of education sector in Indian context. The research paper focused on classroom learning and e-learning in India as a main wheel of development of education.
E-Learning Revolution: Status of Educational Programs in India
—As of now, the teaching-learning process in India is oriented towards classroom model. The generic approach is transforming into the flexible on line systems capable of imparting education in the manner that can never be thought of. With the advent of internet technologies in the past decade, it is bringing a turbulent change in the Indian education system. This paper provides a comprehensive insight to the current status of e-learning education in India. This paper is an empirical study of the prospects that E-Learning may have in India and how it would revolutionize the scope, reach and the delivery of education in India. Indeed E-Learning is a great enabler and of late it has been recognized as a means to resolve a multitude of social and economic imbalances and issues facing the nation today. For instance the UID project in conjunction with E Banking and Mobile applications have been touted as the means to bring in financial inclusion to a majority of the Indian population who do not have access to banking and financial services. Likewise in the case of education there are is a large segment of the Indian populations who only have access to a rudimentary form of primary education and do not have access to higher levels of education namely (i) Secondary Education. (ii) Adult Education, (iii) Vocational Education, (iv) University and Higher Education and (v) Technical Education With India's economic growth having taken a severe beating during the last ten years and with a new Central Government in Delhi there is every reason to be ebullient about both inclusive developmental growth and good governance. Under this new environment, the paper sets out arguments as to why E-Learning is the future of Education in India highlighting its need and importance and how it will be a game changer in the field of education in the near future. The paper also puts forth the premise that with the growth of a young population interested in education, successful e-learning models can be developed which will both complement and supplement the present system.
