Helene) Yates, Brenda R. As a result of a planned highway construction project through the community of San Antonio de Padua, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, archaeological and ethnohistoric investigations were conducted to alleviate impact to the community and to the Pueblo Indian 'ruin' designated LA 24. The studies were done in an attempt to reconstruct the former lifeways of the Indian and Hispanic communities before the data necessary to such a study were destroyed. Fieldwork for this project took place in the summer of 1975, and analyses and interpreations were done during the next four years. A summary of the data is presented, and interpretations of the data re offered. It is suggested that there were close social parallels among the two Pueblo Indian occupations and the Hispanic occupation at LA 24.
