The purpose of this research is to explore and measure what factors influence the successful mustahik empowerment program. This research is conducted in Pekanbaru with the total sample is 105 mustahik taken from four zakat institutions. The data were collected by the questionare with the Likert scale. Quantitative approach will be used to analyze the data by the Generalize Structural Component Analysis (GeSCA). FIT model evaluation result shows that FIT is 0.541, AFIT is 0.530 and GFI is 0.983. Meanwhile the outer model evaluation shows that the loading factor value of all manifest variabel is greater than 0.5 and significant at 0.05 level. Based on the inner model evaluation shows that the successful of mustahik empowerment program influenced by mustahik motivation and enterpreneurial characteristics. While the organization support does not give a direct effect on the successful of mustahik empowerment program but it influences indirectly through the motivation. The successful mustahik empowerment program is also give impact on the successful poverty alleviation.
Analysis of Mustahik Empowerment Program in Indonesia: The Case of Non-State Zakat Organization

The mustahik (the poor and the needy) empowerment program is one of the priority activities carried out by the zakat institution. This study aims to determine whether organizational support and entrepreneurial characteristics possessed by mustahik affect the success of the mustahik empowerment program. This study also aims to determine whether the mustahik empowerment program can alleviate poverty. This research was conducted utilizing Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method. The population in this study was the mustahiks who received empowerment programs from non-governmental zakat organizations in Pekanbaru City, with a total sample of 60 mustahiks. The increasing number of the poor in Indonesia makes the management of zakat play more important role. LAZs (non-profit organizations managing zakat) which functions as collecting and distributing zakat, infaq, and shadaqah in Indonesia is potential to develop as an attempt for equal distribution of national income, as well as a solution for poverty alleviation. The total population in Indonesia is very high, which should be able to support the public's economy. However, in fact poverty is still one of the main problems in Indonesia. Islam is the most widely followed religion in Indonesia, in Islamic teachings there are instruments aimed for alleviating poverty, namely Zakat, Infaq, Shadaqah and Endowments (Wakaf) or abbreviated as Ziswaf. In practice, an institution named the Infaq Management Institute, Lembaga Manajemen Infaq (LMI) carries out the task to manage public’s funds then distribute to specified recipiennts. This study aims to find out the role of the Amil Zakat Institution (LMI) in alleviating and prospering its mustahiq and exploring the model of economic empowerment for mustahiq carried out by LMI. As well as being an inspiration for LMI to further improve programs in managing Ziswaf funds. This research used qualitative approach with the observational case study method. The results of this study indicate that the empowerment program carried out by LMI for mustahiq has a positive impact and helps improve the mustahiq's economy.

This study aims to analyze poverty alleviation and financial inclusion in the mustahik empowerment program in Pekanbaru. The samples involved in this study were 105 people drawn from four organizations of zakat in Pekanbaru. The analytical technique conducted using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study show that the economic empowerment program conducted by zakat institutions in Pekanbaru has succeeded in alleviating the mustahik of the poverty line. Based on the World Bank's poverty line, there are 34.07% of successful out of poverty line. Meanwhile, if using the Government poverty line then there are 60.29% mustahik who managed to get out of the poverty line. However, this empowerment program has not been integrated with the sharia microfinance institutions. Therefore, the empowerment program for mustahik should be integrated with Islamic microfinance to pursue successful financial inclusion for mustahik.

This research aims to discover the influence of management of productive zakat on the mustahiq in the BAZNAS South Sumatra province, Indonesia. Data collection method used in this research utilized questionnaire in likert scale. Wherein all of 30 residents (population) are being used as sample (census technique). The F test, t test and the coefficient determinan (R 2) showed that management of productive zakat has a positive and significant impact on mustahiq empowerment in (BAZNAS) south sumatra province Keyword: the management of productive zakat, empowerment of mustahiq.

Purpose of the study: To find a Zakat fund management scheme based on sharia banking for sustainable mustahiq empowerment. Methodology: This research is qualitative research using grounded theory method. Main Findings: Zakat funds collected are used as collaterals for deposits for the development of mustahiq businesses. The profit sharing ratio from the deposits will reduce the mustahiq installment expense. While deposit guarantees will make mustahik get financing easily from Islamic banking. Applications of this study: The research findings can be used in studies on productive zakat, philanthropic studies and the development of Islamic banking. Novelty/ Originality of this study: With this model, mustahik which is not bankable will receive financing for business development. On the other hand, mustahik will get payments in installments so that it will ease the burden.
Islamic Philanthropy Empowerment Fund in Social Economic Affairs

The development of Islamic Philanthropy funds raises many questions about its use, especially the use directed at productive use. Zakat management authorities, including LAZISMU, began to develop the use of philanthropic funds in the socioeconomic sector for the Empowerment Programme. Based on the level of operation of these funds for successful programs, the Yogyakarta Regional Leaders are classified as the most developed, mainly in the Sleman Regency area. There will be many findings in this study regarding Mustahik and Amil's views on the economic empowerment system implemented by LAZISMU Regional Leader of Muhammadiyah (Pimpinan Daerah Muhammadiyah) Sleman, beginning with Empowerment Indicators, Changes in Mustahik Economic Conditions and Utilization Effectiveness using statistical methods as instruments explain the results. In this study, most of these things show significant results based on the Mustahik's point of view.

This study aims to determine and describe the pattern of zakat distribution and the utilization of productive zakat in increasing the economic empowerment of Mustahik in BAZNAS of Manado City by using qualitative method. The data was obtained by doing interview, documentation and observation. Technique analysis in this study were data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results found that the BAZNAS in distributing zakat funds using its pattern as outlined in Manado City programs such as; Prosperous Manado, Smart Manado, Healthy Manado, Taqwa Manado, and Caring Manado with some procedures, start from submitting business proposals from mustahik to the BAZNAS, processing the proposal as an administrative process, surveying to determine and conduct decision making is appropriate or not mustahik who submit business proposals it receives. For the mustahik who have received business funding assistance, BAZNAS Manado will provide assistance in the form of capital businesses are expected to be able to get out of the poverty line. But regarding supervision, it has not been maximized because it is constrained by the lack of Human Resources owned by BAZNAS of Manado City.
