The aim of the research is to examine the internet addiction of adolescents according to their genders, the type of their high-schools and class level, the time interval that they use internet most widely, their internet usage duration and usage purpose. For that, it is studied with 335 high-school students in Elazig city of Turkey in 2015. The internet addiction scale that Young (1998) developed was used to determine internet addiction of adolescents. In the analysis of data, t-test and unilateral variance analysis were used. At the result of analysis, the mean score of that adolescents got by internet addiction scale was determined as 69 , 2 = X. In analysis between variables it was seen that the internet addiction level of Science-High School students was lower compared to Anatolian and Vocational High-School students. It was observed that the more the usage duration increases the more the internet addiction increases. It was determined the students who use internet mostly for games or social media are more addicted. Besides; as statistical, a significant difference wasn't determined between genders, classes and the variables that internet is mostly used.
Investigation of High School Students’ Internet Addiction inThe Light of Various Variables

The aim of this study was to investigate high school students' level of internet addiction and to determine internet addiction level according to various variables. The study was designed utilizing a survey model. The participants of the study were 501 high school students randomly selected from different socioeconomical districts, i.e., Selcuk district in Izmir and Central district in Edirne within the 2015-2016 academic year. Data were obtained through Internet Addiction Scale. Descriptive statistics utilizing Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis H tests were used for data analysis. The findings revealed low levels of Internet addiction for high school students along with the potential risk of Internet addiction. Furthermore, the differences between internet addiction level and grade level, mother's education level, smart phone ownership and mobile internet access were found to be statistically significant.

Objective: In this present study, the aim was to investigate the level of internet addiction and the effects of the level of internet addiction on health, based on fam ilies’ and children’s viewpoints. Internet Addiction among Adolescents

Today we can get lots of information through internet by just a click. The trend of using internet is common especially among young generation. The aim of the present study was to find the level of internet addiction among adolescents. A cross sectional survey design was used for 52 randomly selected adolescents from private school of Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Data was collected through Kimberly Young's internet addiction scale. Result showed that more than half participants were using facebook (71%) and whatsapp (71%) for the purposes of chatting 92%, regarding internet addiction more than half (53.8%) of the participants had moderate internet addiction and 7.7% had severe internet addiction which could possibly affect the physical and mental health of the youngsters.

Evaluation of internet addiction in a group of high school students: a cross-sectional study Objective: In this study, we aimed to investigate internet addiction and the effects of some variables like age, gender, parental age and education, number of siblings, existence of internet connection at home, existence of computer in the adolescent's room, time spent on internet, adolescent's cigarette use, depression inventory score on internet addiction inventory scores in a group of high school students. Method: The study group consisted of students of a high school in Ankara city center who volenteered to participate in the study. Data was collected by a socio-demographic information form, Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Internet Addiction Inventory (IAI). A probability level of p<0.05 was used to indicate statistical significance. Results: The study group consisted of 211 students of whom 54% (n=114) were female. Time spent on internet and depression scores were positively correlated with IAI scores and IAI scores of males were significantly higher than IAI scores of females. No significant correlation was found between the IAI scores and other variables. The following items were found to be statistically significant in differentiating the 'addicted group' from the 'non-addicted group, respectively: to be male, a high depression score and long time spent on internet. Conclusion: According to our study results, among high school students, the likelihood of internet addiction is higher in males. Level of depression and the time spent on internet were found to be possible risk factors that effect internet addiction. The results of our study will be helpful for future protective studies about internet addiction.
A Study on the Internet Addiction of the Middle High School Students
The purpose of this study was to understand the trend of internet addiction of junior high school students in New Taipei City. Used of Internet Addiction Scale (CIAS) questionnaire to understand the junior high school students of Internet addiction status. Because there are a lot of Internetaddicted students in junior high school, Child Welfare League suggested that parents should care about children's Internet activities, and urge their children to use the Internet as well as the development and diversification of the leisure life.
Internet addiction among students of selected schools of South Delhi

In the time of lockdown and home confinement, internet use is expected to rise. Recognizing this, we did this study to find the prevalence of internet addiction in school-going adolescents from South Delhi. Employing systematic random sampling, we selected 509 students, who had used/been using the internet in the last 30 days. Data collection was done using a self-administered questionnaire assessing internet addiction utilized Young’s Internet Addiction Test (IAT). The study observed prevalence of 51.3%, which was significantly associated with students in high school, parents’ education, upper socioeconomic class, and access to an internet at home. Additionally, we observed that students primarily used the internet for nonessential purposes (movies, online shopping, social networking, online games, chatting, cyber- sex/pornography) rather than for academic purposes. The increasing trend of internet use, that too for entertainment, may be attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic and can lead to a significant problem.
