Bassins en bronze du IVe s. av. n. ère

This article defines two forms of bronze basins (type Genova and type Sant'Arcangelo), probably produced in Etruria between the late Vth and the late IVth c. BC; they were exported to the North (Southern Gaul, and even further North to the Belgium) and to the South, probably within wine service accessories.

J.-L. Podvin et C.-G. Schwentzel, Six bronzes égyptiens inédits

Cahiers de Recherches de l’Institut de Papyrologie et d’Egyptologie de Lille (CRIPEL) 23, 2003

This article describes six Eglptian bronze statues from private collections (lah, Ptah, Isis lactans, Isrs dolente, Zeus-Ammon) ranging from the Late Period to the Roman occupation. Some are typically Egyptian whereas others present obvious Alexandrian features. Apart from illustrating the extraordinary inventiveness of the craftsmen and artists of these periods they reveal, through their reciprocal borrowings of attributes, the syncretic atmosphere that predominated at the time.
