Benefits of Youtube Videos Usage in Students’Learning
This is case study research based provides a practical knowledge of how Web 2.0 particularly YouTube which is accessible freely online to support active learning in negotiation classroom. The video clips are selected based on its appropriateness to improve teaching and learning purposes which include the technical qualities, contents, learners' attitude and readiness and learners' engagement. These video clips were disseminated and viewed by 30 participants who registered for negotiation skills course at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). A semi-structured interview was conducted to retrieve participant's views on four themes specifically the technical qualities, contents, learners' attitude and readiness and learners' engagement. The result indicates that participants have strong inclination to the integration of YouTube in their lesson as it enhances and support learning activities.
Social media as a complementary learning tool for teaching and learning: The case of youtube

Taking into account the importance of using video and visual objects for teaching, some universities utilize YouTube as a complementary teaching tool. This work analyses students' perspectives on the usage of YouTube for learning, their corresponding usage patterns, and associated factors prompting them to use YouTube. We interviewed 30 students, and went on to develop a scale for academic learning as a determinant of YouTube usage, which was then validated amongst the students. Data were collected from a total of 321 students in the Faculty of Business and Accountancy, University of Malaya to test the developed construct. The results confirmed that entertainment, seeking information, and academic learning are some of the main motivations for using YouTube. We regard YouTube as an effective tool that can enhance the learning experience if the video is indeed relevant to the subject at hand. It is recommended that instructors integrate YouTube into their respective courses to benefit from its inherent advantages in the context of learning/teaching.

Covid-19 caused a transformation in the educational aspect. Teachers have difficulty implementing online learning. This is due to the lack of learning media that can facilitate students in learning. The Net Generation, being the generation born after 1982, are so called as their arrival coincided with the emergence of digital technology such as the internet and PCs. Research suggests that this generation of individuals have different styles of learning due to their comfort with and use of digital technology. Thus, educating and engaging the Net Generation has become a challenge faced by higher education institutions. Various suggestions have been made in order to educate and engage the Net Generation. One of these suggestions has been the use of Web 2.0 elements, such as YouTube, blogs and wikis inside and outside the classroom. This research paper investigates the use of YouTube in the classroom for the engagement of Net Generation students for a 2nd year under-graduate course at the University of Cape Town. In the past, a lack of interest in the course has led to students being disengaged. This research paper aimed to identify whether the use of YouTube in the classroom had an effect on the engagement of Net Generation students. This paper aims to determine the effect on the engagement of 'Net Generation' students from using 'YouTube' in the classroom. The education and engagement of the Net Generation students are a growing challenge among institutions of higher learning. Net Generation arrival overlaps with the advent of digital technology. Thus, this explains why the students have dissimilar styles of learning due to their comfort with and use of digital technology. Literature on educating and engaging the Net Generation asserts incorporating the Web 2.0 elements; YouTube inside and/or outside classroom. The target sample includes Net Generation students in their 2nd-3rd year at the University of Cape Town in the Commerce faculty enrolled in an Information Systems course. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Two samples were included, the first consisted of students currently enrolled in the course and the other, students previously enrolled in the course. The result shows that the use of YouTube had a positive effect on the engagement of Net Generation students.
UNDERSTANDING THE PERCEPTIONS OF STUDENTS TOWARDS YOUTUBE AS A LEARNING TOOL: AN EMPIRICAL APPROACH
YouTube offers an intuitive addition in the scheme of modern learning environments as it offers highly informative and quality videos free of cost. Nowadays, increasingly educators all over the world are integrating into educational systems, especially online education. YouTube holds the promise of making the learning process enriching and effective. It has been proved time and again that engagement and retention rates have increased to boost the overall effectiveness of a lecture or course. The present research concentrated on empirically understanding and analyzing the perceptions of students towards you tube learning as one best learning tool. The interest and intension of the research is-to study the usefulness, methods of utilization and negative effects towards students' group. Convenience sampling adopted to collect data from 155 respondents who are users and beneficiaries of you tube learning. A five-point Likert scale was used to assess the YouTuber's perception about the usefulness and negative effects of the learners. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, and one-way ANOVA was used to assess the collected data. It has been found from the study that place of the origin and useful perception having significant relationship. There is a significant difference between the origin place and the negative effects of utilization as perceived by YouTube learners.
Students' Perspectives on YouTube Video Usage as an E-Resource in the University Classroom

This study examined the perspectives of 70 prospective teachers about the use of YouTube videos as e-resources to supplement psychology lectures at a university in Trinidad & Tobago. A questionnaire designed for the study was used to collect both quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative analysis included frequency distribution, non-parametric correlations, and ordinal logistic regression. In the quantitative results, participants' identified benefits and implications of the YouTube strategy that confirmed and went beyond previously established research. More specifically, the ordinal regression analyses identified specific benefits that predicted participants' intention to the YouTube integration strategy in their own teaching and researching. The qualitative data which were analyzed using content analysis provided supporting details of the benefits and implications of integrating YouTube videos as supplements to lectures. The findings have implications for the use of new media in the university classroom, especially when teaching digital natives.
