Baby massage is a form of touch therapy that is very beneficial for both babies and their parents. Touch or massage on babies can stimulate milk production, increase appetite and weight. This action will also strengthen the bond of love between parents and children, and become a positive basis for the emotional and physical growth of the baby. This study aims to determine the effect of infant massage on increasing infant weight in infants aged 2-6 months at the Halimah Lubis Midwife Clinic, Deli Serdang Regency in 2022. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study, with a One Group Pretest and Post Test Design approach. The population is all babies aged 2-6 months who are at the Halimah Lubis Midwife Clinic, Deli Serdang Regency in 2022, totaling 36 people. Effectiveness Of Baby Massage On The Increase Of Baby Weight Aged 6 - 12 Months In Gayaman Village, Mojoanyar District, Mojokerto Regency

The study population was all babies aged 6-12 months who experienced underweight. Samples were taken using a total sampling technique of 28 respondents. Data were collected by observation and subsequently tested using paired t-test. The average change in respondents’ weight before and after the baby massage is 114 grams. Paired t-test results show ρ value = 0.011 (95% CI: -.2005 - -. 0281). ρ value = 0.011 < α = 0.05, indicating that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, there is an effect of baby massage on baby growth aged 6-12 months in Gayaman Village, Mojoanyar District, Mojokerto Regency. It is recommended for health workers to provide health education regarding the way to do the right baby massage to support in providing knowledge and expertise to parents in doing baby massage independently at home to help to reach the optimal growth process, especially the baby’s weight gain.

Background : Infancy is a golden period as well as a critical period of development. It is said to be a critical period because at this time the baby is very sensitive to the environment and is said to be a golden period because the time is very short and cannot be repeated again. Stimulation in infancy is very necessary to stimulate growth and development. Baby massage is an activity carried out by parents or caregivers of the baby as an act of stimulating the growth and development of the baby Purpose : The aim of the study is to determine the effect of baby massage on infants' weight aged 0-6 months in working area of Cibeureum Public Health Center in Tasikmalaya Method : Pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design approach was applied. Total respondents were 29 infants, obtained using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Spearman correlation test. Results : The results showed, p value was 0.05 which was considered as more than α (0,000). It can be stated that Null hypotheses was accepted, there was no effect of baby massage on infants' weight. Conclusions : This study did not support the effect of baby massage towards babies' weight. However, baby massage is remain suggested in order to improve emotional relationship between parent and the baby. Future studies need to be conducted regarding baby massage combined with other treatment that might help infants' growth

Background: Infancy is a stage of where growth and development occurs very fast, starting from a newborn until the age of 12 months. Developmental delays in Indonesia is about 12.8-16%, while in West Sumatra Province, it ranks 8th and Padang City is in the first place which experiences impaired infant growth, to ptimize the infant growth and development, infant massages can be given. Infant massage is the part oftreatment with touch therapy using certain techniques in infants. The purpose of this study is to determine the massages effect on infant's growth and development. Research Method: This is an experimental study with pre and post control group design conducted in the working area of Padang City in Indonesia Primary Health Center from November 2018-November 2019. The sample of this study was 66 three-month-old infants selected by purposive sampling. Each group consists of 33 infants in the experimental and control groups. Infant's growth assessment is performed by using the Denver II form and infant's development assessment is performed by using baby scales. Data were analyzed by using the Chi-Square test and Mann Whitney test. Research Result: The results showed that infant massage increased growth of p = 0.001, and infant massage increased development of p = 0.001 Research Conclusion: It can be concluded that infant massage influences infant's growth and development in the working area of Seberang Padang Public Health Center in 2019.

Background The low birth weight (LBW) problem is found in various developing countries with an increasing trend of cases every year. This is caused by nutritional status and a history of maternal health. The impact of LBW in children is they are more likely to experience delayed growth and development. This study aims to identify the effect of baby massage on infants’ body weight. Design and Methods The research design used was quasiexperimental pre and post-test type with control group.
