The article is characterized by the study of the representation of the ludicity in didactic material in an interdisciplinary way, specific to the learning of the English language, used in private classes. Therefore, it was intended to answer how books present ludic process, how authors portray ludic activities and whether the books used explore interdisciplinarity as a didactic pedagogical resource. This text aims to point out the application of ludicity in an interdisciplinary process, used as a pedagogical practice for the teaching of the English language in private online classes held with the public between 13 and 60 years old, in 2020, during the pandemic COVID-19, in order to adapt to social distance. As research material, we used the English ID collection of the Richmond-São Paulo publisher, composed of seven books (Starter, 1A- B, 2A-B and 3A-B). For the choice of this material, the requirements of the National Textbook Program - PNLD were taken in principle, which are governed by the National Curriculum Parameters - PCN’s. From these books, the method employed involved the observation of activities that developed the ludic aspect in an interdisciplinary way. Thus, we took as a theoretical basis the ideas of interdisciplinary work defended by Ivani Fazenda and Hilton Japiassú. We also seek to present the possibilities found in recreational activities justified by Huizinga's homo ludens and disserted by several other authors. These procedures demonstrate that both ludicity and interdisciplinary study are capable of promoting the construction of knowledge through social interaction and insertion of the student in a favorable environment for the acquisition of a foreign language. Keywords: Interdisciplinarity. Ludic. English language.
