Dietary and Fluid Regime Adherence in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients (original) (raw)
Abstract
AI
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) requires strict adherence to dietary and fluid restrictions to manage the illness effectively. This study investigates the levels of adherence to these restrictions among CKD patients in a tertiary care center in South India, as well as their perceived social support. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with a sample size of 100 patients who provided information through a self-reported questionnaire. Results indicate a significant relationship between diet and fluid adherence with demographic variables such as education and age, highlighting the role of education in promoting compliance.
