This essay is based on the observations of children with autistic condition between the age group (3-15 yrs) in the Delhi & NCR region. It looks at various cognitive patterns found among them. The idea is to explore effective intervention techniques that enhance communication patterns among autistic children. Some of these techniques are expressive and creative. They come from diverse fields like digital technology, music, wonder tales, mathematics, sports, culinary skills etc. These skills can be added to the behavioural training and teaching methods meant to improve self-reliance and communications among children with the autistic condition.

With the advancement of the clinical, psychological and medical sciences, diagnosis of impairments and planning of remedial measures has become more reliable and efficient. Autism spectrum disorder is one of the complex neurological disorders which leads to the different types of impairments in the child and requires the early detection and the interventions. The major impairments in the autism spectrum disorder are impairments in communication, socialisation and the normal functioning of the brain. There are various behavioural symptomatologies related to these impairments range from lack of proper communication, stereotyped repetitive behaviour, poor eye contact, mood fluctuations, inappropriate facial expressions, lack of functional and behavioural skills, poor adjustment etc which differ among the children and can be intervened with the help of appropriate psychological and clinical therapy and exercises apart from the medication. Various intervention strategies like “Inductive Intervention Strategy”, Task Breaking Approach etc are very effective for dealing autistic children in the classroom and at home also. Other strategies that may help the autistic learners are – concept formation activity, relation-building activity, building up of the eye contact, responding to the objects, imitation activity, picture activity etc, which are also very effective in overcoming the deficiencies of autism spectrum disorder. The present paper explores the behavioural characteristics of the children having autism spectrum disorder and the intervention strategies adapted to for them to overcome.

This research aims to describe the ability of active/expresive language and passive/ reseptive language of an autistic student and the effort to improve the language itself helped by the teacher and the shadow teacher in a non-govermental school in Medan. This research uses qualitative descriptive with study case of an autistic student in primary second grader , his initial is FR. Case Study of a Child with the Autism Spectrum Disorder
This article aims to observe all the manifestations of the behavior of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), which shows deficits mainly in the communication sector. Also, the child shows repetitive and stereotypical behaviors throughout the lesson (Stasinos, 2016). Initially the paper describes the methodology followed. It then describes the child's cognitive profile and the deficits he presents. He then analyzes the intervention that was applied in order to improve the difficulties he faces and to further strengthen the skills he has already acquired. Finally, the paper presents the main conclusions as they emerged from the intervention.

This paper entitled ‘Non-Verbal Communication by Autistic Children’ was conducted with the aim to find out the components of kinesics as a part of nonverbal communication expressed by autistic children when interacting with their teachers at SLB ABC Taman Pendidikan Islam. Beside that this study also intended to know the meanings of those kinesics components expressed by autistic children when interacting with their teachers. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach by applying kinesics theory by Ray Birdwhistell. Parenting a child with autism spectrum disorder has never been easy. The causal factors include, but not limited to, the child's restricted social and communication skills and restricted and stereotypical activities. Parents lacking knowledge about ASD often resort to other forms of interventions in the hope to find a cure and believe it can assist to get rid of the deficits of the disorder. Such treatments are known as complementary or substitute medicine and are not evidence-based. As there is no current remedy for ASD, maybe it is time for parents to stop finding a make well to this disorder. Autism child has difficulties with interpreting both verbal and non-verbal language like gestures or tone of voice. Autism child has a very literal understanding of language. Autism child may find it difficult to use or understand: facial language, nature of voice, jokes or sarcasm.
The design principles of edutainment system for autistic children with communication difficulties

Bilangan kanak-kanak autisme semakin meningkat di seluruh dunia. Kanak-kanak autisme mempunyai tiga masalah utama iaitu daripada aspek bersosial, berkomunikasi dan tingkah laku. Terdapat kira-kira 50 peratus daripada individu dengan masalah autisme mempunyai masalah dalam membangunkan fungsi bahasa mereka disebabkan berlakunya kemerosotan dalam komunikasi. Peranti mudah alih dengan permainan bersifat pendidikan digunakan bagi membantu individu untuk berasa lebih selesa dan lebih santai melakukan aktiviti tersebut. Terdapat pelbagai aplikasi mudah alih yang tersedia untuk individu autisme. Namun, mereka sukar untuk menggunakan aplikasi tersebut. Ini terutamanya dari segi reka bentuk antara muka pengguna aplikasi tersebut. Kajian ini menganalisis aplikasi sedia ada untuk menentukan prinsip reka bentuk berkaitan dengan Aplikasi Didik Hibur yang sedang dikaji. Lima aplikasi telah dikaji dalam analisis ini. Objektif kajian ini ialah untuk mengenal pasti prinsip reka bentuk yang penting dalam mereka bentuk sesebuah aplikasi. Analisis ini telah mengenal pasti lima belas cadangan bagi prinsip reka bentuk tersebut. Cadangan tersebut ialah paparan antara muka yang mudah, saiz imej, beberapa gambar, ikon halaman rerumah, warna, mempunyai imej yang serupa dengan objek kehidupan sebenar, penggunaan aplikasi bagi penjaga, pelayaran, perlindungan kata laluan, audio yang bersesuaian dengan imej, bahasa aplikasi yang digunakan, penilaian parameter untuk mengukur pertumbuhan kanak-kanak, pilihan untuk memuat turun gambar, PECS berasaskan komunikasi dan fungsi sebutan ayat. Cadangan-cadangan ini ditawarkan dalam kajian ini ke arah mereka bentuk dan membangunkan aplikasi prototaip untuk kanak-kanak autistik. Kajian ini memperkenalkan prinsip reka bentuk sistem didik hibur yang digubal untuk membantu membangunkan kemahiran komunikasi kanak-kanak dengan spektrum gangguan autisme. Kajian ini juga menerangkan reka bentuk, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian aplikasi ICanTalk yang merupakan aplikasi didik hibur mudah alih yang boleh digunakan untuk meningkatkan kefahaman dan kemahiran komunikasi pengguna. Di samping itu, aplikasi ini membantu mereka untuk berhubung dengan masyarakat dan persekitaran. Ini terutamanya melibatkan kanak-kanak autistik yang mengalami masalah komunikasi. Aplikasi ini membolehkan penjaga untuk mencipta kandungan peribadi menggunakan gambar dan audio pada peranti mudah alih mereka (tablet). Penilaian aplikasi dengan guru menunjukkan bahawa aplikasi ini sangat berguna dan mudah untuk digunakan. Kesimpulannya, berdasarkan keputusan penilaian, didapati bahawa aplikasi ICanTalk adalah berkesan dalam membantu kanak-kanak autistik yang mengalami masalah komunikasi.
Communication Skills of 4 to 5 Years Old Autistic Children at Inclusive Kindergarten

This research is motivated the importance of communication that applied early on children are able to communicate and interact well with their environment. Social interaction will realize social contact and communication. The communication of autistic child will different from regular child communication, because in essence autistic child experiences three disorders namely interference with communication, interaction, and behavior. The research objective to determine the form communication skills of children with autism in social interactions in Jember Inclusion Kindergarten. Type of research is qualitative descriptive, data collection method of observation, interview, and documentation. Subjects study were 3 autistic children aged 4-5 years with mild, moderate, and severe categories. The results showed communication skill autistic children differed. Children with severe autism, verbal communication child i.e. able to communicate by saying 1-2 words through help, clear articulation, but still words have no communication function. Non-verbal communication, namely children using adult hands as a tool. Medium autistic children, verbal communication children able to do communication, clear articulation, but still some languages are spoken muttered. Non-verbal communication the child touches a hug, using an adult hand as a tool. Mild autistic children, verbal communication i.e. children able to communicate both ways, articulation still not quite right.
