This research aims to develop an e-learning based interactive learning model assisted by Edmodo for the Instructional Design course, this research is expected to produce (1) an e-learning based interactive learning model assisted by Edmodo that may be used properly, easy to learn and can be used for individual learning and learning material that refers to competencies that have been established, (2) To know the results of the implementation of the e-learning based interactive learning model assisted by Edmodo in the Instructional Design course as well as the right strategies used in Instructional Design course, (3) To determine the effectiveness of the e-learning based interactive learning model assisted by Edmodo in the Instructional Design course and to determine the model of interactive learning that is effective and efficient. This research was conducted three stages. In the first stage in the first year to do an analysis of the interactive learning model that is most appropriate to use in learning instructional design, through a survey of preliminary studies, including the identification of learning needs and determine the competency standards subjects, analysis of learning. Identified characteristic and early behavior of students, basic competence and indicator writing, writing reference benchmark tests, preparing instructional strategies, develop learning materials. Then proceed with the initial design manufacture moodel based learning, instructional design based e-learning, and develop story board.
Content development approaches in e-learning lessons
Balkan Region Conference on Engineering and Business Education, 2017
Developments in the IT field have led to the development and variety of e-learning objects so that video or gaming lessons are found in most online courses and are developed in order to maintain the student’s interest. The current Learning Management Systems challenges refer to how to generate a dynamic content that automatically adapts to the a priori level of a student’s knowledge and behavior during lessons. Starting from the model student, the component of adaptive learning, the aim of this paper is to keep student motivation by designing a course with content related to the level of knowledge of the students. At the same time, lessons combine elements of gamification with quizzes, textual contexts and infographics in order to make the content more varied, and in order for the student to be more engaged, to assimilate, to understand or to recall the concepts presented in the course.
Enhancement of E-learning through Instructional Design Technology
Journal of emerging technologies and innovative research, 2016
The move from an industrial to an information-driven society has significantly changed education delivery, often facilitated by the use of ICT driven communications that are a recent, yet foundational, component of many educational systems Because of that people can experience new learning patterns used in world. It is paving a way for the people to connect and be familiar with the technology. Instructional technology is a concept which has number of benefits for both the students and teacher/instructor as induce students, catch their consideration and help explicate difficult theories. There are many Instructional design models, techniques and learning theories. The most important factor for effective incorporation of technology is that teaches should be able to integrate instructional technology activities to meet students' needs. E-learning can be enhanced through the successful utilization of instructional technology. Applying instructional technology into elearning is most ...
Learning Based Instructional Design and Development for E-Learning
This paper proposes a concept of instructional design and development for e-learning by integrating several available process modeling approaches in fulfilling and accommodating the needs of complete instructional design and development stages. The method of quality function deployment is utilized in the stages of requirement definition and analysis of learning contents to obtain the design specification of learning objects. The structure and hierarchy of each object are described in the form of metadata using eXtended Markup Language (XML), a standard language commonly used in e-learning to enable the complete process of instructional activities. The commonality of objects in many lessons and courses are maintained using learning object oriented content management system to guarantee the interoperability, reusability, manageability of the resulting lessons and courses modules to create very efficient e-learning modules. The above concept has been implemented for the instructional design and development of several courses at The Department of Electrical Engineering: Engineering Mathematic I, Linear System, Control System I, Control System II, and Stochastic Processes. The resulting design and construction will be presented in this paper along with the response of students and teachers
Instructional and Technological Design of E-Learning Courses
E-learning course developers now have guidelines on how to develop the course, but there is not yet a method providing guidance for experts on how to design its educational contents. Neither is there a measure that can objectively assess whether the educational contents have been designed and structured efficiently according to the features of the learners being taught the contents. When an e-course comes to an end, the instructor checks, through the final assessment examination, each learner's achievement level, but cannot relate this achievement to the quality of the educational contents that define the course and are designed by the content expert. This chapter has two goals. First, it presents an instructional method that provides guidance for instructors as to how to design an e-course (as well as the lessons of which it is composed) and for content experts as to how to design the educational contents (the learning objects) for the ecourse. Second, it describes a technological method that can be used to automatically create the e-course and evaluate the efficiency of the design of its educational contents. A tool, called the Adaptive Learning System, has been developed to implement the proposed technological model.
The Essentials of Instructional Design Process in a Digital Age
Journal of Education and Training, 2017
The thrust of this paper is to examine some important issues relating to instructional design in the digital age. The paper does not intend to discuss the details of model of instructional design but key issues such as instructional objectives specification, needs assessment, instructional strategies and media and also how learning takes place.
11.Developing Teaching Material for E-learning Environment
In the new economy, knowledge is a source for a competitive advantage. Economic and social developments are strongly related to the development of human capital, which is associated with education (ESCWA2005). The other hand, Information and communication Technologies (ICT) have changed the way people live and work, the ICT evolution increasingly supports innovative methods of learning. In this context, has observed that e-learning strategies are leading to changes in the way people learn. This paper focuses on the elements of effective design and development of quality materials for online learning. The elements of design are discussed in detail.
The Various Stages of an Instructional Systems Development Methodology for e-learning Modules
2003
This paper reports the efforts which have been made towards a methodology based on elearning objects for the development of PGL modules. The Partnership in Global Learning (PGL) Project is an international initiative to produce web-based educational modules for the corporate and academic sectors. In its earlier stages, PGL was focused on the k-12 education. A number of workshops to enable k-12 teachers in the design of e-learning modules was run as part of the PGL mission. In this work, we show the efforts towards a PGL methodology by analyzing the changes on the workshop programs along the last three years. We then describe how the ISD (Instructional Systems Development) and LO (Learning Object) technologies can be utilized for the design and development of PGL modules. The proposed methodology (ISDMELO) is grounded on sound principles from learning theories. This methodology is currently being tested at PUC-Rio by a group of k-12 teachers from public schools and instructional designers from the private sector.
Advances in Computer and Communication, 2021
In the developing countries, people can study lectures by using different learning methods to improve their education. Among them, online learning and e-learning is the modernized and popular learning methods. This research presented the content design and types of learning method of an e-learning system developed. The e-learning system is designed power point slides with principles of message design (text design, graphic design, color design) by instruction designer (ID), these developed course with special designs are uploaded on web using HTML, CSS, PHP, Ajax, and MySQL by multimedia developer (MD), these developed course with slides are presented by subject matter expert (SME) with the help of Studio Engineer (SE) and then these are edited by Studio Engineer. To ensure proper interaction between students and lecturers, this proposed system incorporates audio calls to lecturers and also video conferencing software that enables lecturers deliver lecture. It can give the ability to give, receive, and discuss information in real time. This paper described the impact of the e-learning process for higher education development and why it is so important. The objective of this system is an attempt to simplify the analysis and design of e-learning courses by applying participants and their roles. It contained the analysis, design, development and testing stages of e-courses system as well as the scientific content.
