When we learn a second language, no matter which one. The most of people are heavily influenced by their mother language. The result is mother tongue's influence(MTI) which lead to a mix of languages. Sometimes it can be very hard to understand and sometimes humorous. There's Chinglish for Chinese, Hinglish for Hindi, Arablish for Arab speakers and so on.Arabic language is the mother tongue for Arab learners who learn English as a Second/Foreign language. There is always a question entices that the use of mother tongue in learning English is as a supporter or an obstacle. This study designed to examine the role of mother tongue in learning English and how it influences students. The case study to know about that the use of Arabic language, is the main reason behind the weak and low level of students. The results of the study would have been collected through questionnaires from students and teachers, the department of English, Samtah College.
