The educational position of any person is mainly portrayed through the academic success. Within the other factors, personality traits may also be the one determinant of individuals’ low or high academic success. An attempt in this regard was made to examine whether any relationship of students personality traits and academic achievement at secondary level exist or not. Male and female students of 10 th grades enrolled in public and private sector schools in district Mianwali were taken as population of study. 930 students were selected as sample for the study by using stratified random sampling technique. The study revealed positive relationship for Agreeableness, Neuroticism, Openness, and negative correlation for extraversion, consciousness personality trait and academic achievement. All five personality traits were found to be the strong predictors of academic achievement at secondary level.
Relationship Between Personality Traits and Academic Achievement of School Students

This study explored HEXACO personality traits and the prediction of academic achievement through personality traits and demographic variables. This study also explored gender differences in personality traits and academic achievement. The sample comprised 377 school-going students. HEXACO–PI was used to measure the personality traits of students. Self-reported GPA was collected from the students to measure academic achievement. The results showed significant gender differences in the E trait only. Academic achievement did not differ significantly for gender. Results showed that X and C traits showed a significant correlation with academic achievement. Further, 23.1% of the variation in academic achievement was predicted by the combined effect of personality traits and demographic variables. Further, extraversion and conscientiousness were the significant independent predictors of academic achievement. Thus, personality traits should be considered to improve students’ academic achievement.
Influence of Academic Achievements on High School Students’ Personality

This research studies the significant influence of academic achievements on high school students' personality traits, particularly focusing on students in Maryknoll High School of Sigaboy, Inc. in Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental. This study utilized quantitative research design, using survey questionnaires as data collection tools. Results reveal high levels of both academic achievement with an overall mean of 4.00 and personality traits among the students with an overall mean of 4.19, with motivation exhibiting the highest manifestation in academic achievement at 4.34 and physical attributes at 4.36 in personality traits. Statistical analysis indicates a significant effect of academic achievements on students' personality traits which yielded at 0.00, thereby rejecting the null hypothesis. These results give an idea of the need to increase students' academic achievement because it affects their personality development in high school, since there is a chance of implications for educational practices and support services. Furthermore, appreciating this relationship of influence provides an opportunity for more focused interventions that will help in the improvement of academic achievements as well as conditions for personal development among the students. Recommendations such as classroom interventions and maintaining a balance between academic pursuits and personal well being are found to be proven important in this study.
PERSONALITY TRAITS OF SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

Background: In the Indian environment, no efforts were made by the parents or by the school (teacher as well as the administrative body) in understanding individual child behaviour and their personality. Minimal efforts were made in understanding what the individuals personality type a particular child possess. So to examine the relationship and impact of the student's personality traits and its impact on the academic achievement this research is being carried out on the senior secondary school students of Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Methods: A sample of 200 students were considered for survey but only 180 received questionnaire were fully filled. So 180 is the final sample size. Simple random sampling method was used to select 11th and 12th class students. Their last examination result was taken as basis for academic achievement. Results: Most of students were male and maximum of the students preferred science stream. Male and female students differ significantly over various personality traits. Reasoning, Emotional stability, Self-reliance and tough mindedness are the most dominant personality traits amongst the students. There is significant relationship between personality traits and academic achievement.
Academic Achievement of High School Students in Relation to certain Personality Traits

In the present study an attempt was made to know the relationship between personality factor emotional stability and academic achievement of the high school students of South Kamrup district of Assam, India. Students were randomly selected from different high schools of the selected area. A sample of 400(both boys and girls) students was selected and Cattell's Jr. High School Personality Questionnaire (HSPQ) was administered to them and record of academic achievement was collected from the school record. Subsequently the data were subjected to statistical analysis with the help of percentage analysis and x 2 .Results indicated a significant relationship between emotional stability and academic achievement of high school students of South kamrup district, Assam, India. The study also depicted that high level of emotional stability leads to high academic achievement and low emotional stability leads to low level of academic achievement.
PERSONALITY TYPE AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Personality is the man. The successful living of an individual, as a man, depends to a large extent on the academic achievement of that individual, as a student. This article attempts to find out personality type, academic achievement of secondary school students and relationship between them by selecting a sample of 300 secondary school students from Tirunelveli. Survey method was used. The collected data, using Multidimensional Personality Inventory and quarterly examination marks were analyzed statistically and the results show that the personality type of secondary students is ambient, their academic achievement is average and there exists relationship between personality type and academic achievement of secondary school students with reference to some factors and there is no relationship with regard to some other variables, suggesting that there could be some other factors that influence their academic achievement.
Personality Traits and Academic Achievement among College Students
This study aims to determine the significant difference between high and low achievers on 16 personality traits factors. Among a sample of 200 adolescents (100 high achiever and 100 low achiever) studying in B.A part-Iwere selectedby stratified random technique from different colleges located in Ranchi.16 personality factor questionnaires were administered to measure the dimensions of personality traits of both the groups. Data was analyzed by using means, standard deviations and t test. Result revealed that high achievers had unique personality profile than low achievers.
The Relationships Between Personality Traits and Students’ Academic Achievement

This research aims at studying the relationships between personality traits and academic achievement among students. Participants were 285 students (191 female and 94 male). Instruments used were NEO Big Five Personality Factors and student's GPA. Results revealed personality traits were significantly related to academic achievement.

This study delved on the Personality Traits as Predictors of Academic Achievement among Junior College Students of Basilan State College. A total of seventy (70) student respondents participated in the study drawn using the purposive quota sampling technique. In obtaining data, the standardized Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire (16 PF) and the Grade Point Average of the student respondents in four subject areas, Mathematics, Science, English, and Social Science were utilized. Results showed that: the students were found to have the following personality traits; (1) less intelligent; (2) affected by feelings; (3) practical; (5) shrewd; and (6) apprehensive; the student's adjectival rating for the academic achievement in Mathematics, Science, English, and Social Science is GOOD; three (3) personality traits for the academic contribute to the variance of the students grades in Mathematics and these are Factors 1 (Tenderminded), Factor M (Imaginative) and Factor Q3 (Controlled); there is a significant difference in the personality traits of the students based on the variable Age. The meaningful difference existed in Factor N between Age brackets of (19 and 21) and (21 and 22); there is a significant difference in the personality traits of the student's respondents based on the variable Gender. The significant difference between male and female students existed in nine (9) factors: Factor A (reserved), B (less intelligent), C (affected by feelings), F (sober), H (shy), M (practical), O (placid), Q2 (group-dependent), and Q4 (relaxed); there is no significant difference in the personality traits based on the variable Socioeconomic Status; and there is a significant relationship in the students' academic achievement between and among the following subject areas: (1) Mathematics and Science; (2) Mathematics and English; (3) Science and English; (4) English and Social Science.
