Growth of IOT has put a path for integration of mobile devices, wireless communication technologies and mobile Applications. This paper proposes an IOT based Smart parking system and traffic reduction in parking slots that integrates with mobile Application. It provides a parking solution for both the user and owner of the parking slots. Features are provided for reserving a parking slots, authenticating a reserved user, identifying nearest parking slots depending on the size of the vehicle, navigating to the parking slots and computes accounts information on day, week and month basis. IR sensors are used to identify if there is a parking spot is free. Availability of a free parking slot with its location information and petrol bunks, Shopping malls is transmitted using GPS module technology, microcontroller and wireless communication technology to the server and is retrieved though a mobile application. RFID tag is used to get authenticate by fixed in the vehicle's end user who reserves the parking slot for an hour, day, week or monthly basis.
Smart Parking Application using IOT

The paper describes the designing an advanced smart parking system using IOT technology. The devices can be turned ON/OFF using a mobile through server(Wi-Fi). Internet of Things (IOT) plays an important role in connecting the surrounding things in the environment to the network and made easy to access the things not connected to internet from any remote location. The main objective of the smart parking system is to reduce the traffic in the parking place. Usually people are facing lot of problems on parking vehicles in avaliable parking slots in a city. It's very necessary for the people to improve with the growing technology. In this paper we discuss a Smart Parking System which helps the user to find the nearest parking area and gives availability of parking slots in that respective parking area. It mainly focus on reducing the time and in finding an empty parking lots .It also avoids the unnecessary travelling through filled parking lots in a parking area in search of empty slot. Thus it reduces the fuel consumption and in turn reduces carbon emission.

The number of vehicles on the road has been increasing rapidly, especially in metropolitan cities. It's observed finding parking space is a time consuming and hectic task for the drivers, moreover, the environment is also get affected due to the level of fuel burn in the parking lot. Therefore, a practically feasible solution is demanded to find out parking space in small spam of time to save the driver's time and to keep our cities clean. In this paper, a framework is proposed to provide parking space for vehicles by using IoT and some other technologies. Moreover, application based hardware is proposed using microcontrollers, IoT devices and web applications. The proposed design also gives multiple options for the payment to save time and deadlocks in the parking area.
AN APPROACH FOR SMART PARKING SYSTEM IOT
In the most of the modern cities it is difficult and expensive to create more parking spaces for vehicles since the numbers of vehicles are running on the road are increasing day by day and the count of the free spaces in the cities are the same. This problem leads to congestion for parking seekers and drivers. To develop an IoT framework that targets Parking Management which is biggest challenges in modern cities. Using embedded systems, there is a chance to develop an application which can solve these problems. The proposed smart parking solution gives an on-site deployment in which, IoT application monitors and indicate the availability of each parking space. This system helps in improvising the management of parking system by following rules of the government, for example handling different parking spaces in the city. The intuition of presenting this paper is to reduce smart city issue such as the traffic on road and reduces the pollution in the city and the parking.

With the fast growth in population in major cities, the number of cars on the road is rising at a similar rate. People prefer private transportation over public transportation, resulting in a rise in automobiles on the road. As a result, finding a vacant parking spot becomes difficult, resulting in several difficulties such as increased consumption of fuel, time, and energy usage. Internet of Things (IoT) has the potential to improve almost every industry. By utilizing IoT and solving challenges such as traffic congestion, limited vehicle parking facilities, and road safety, big cities or metropolitan cities are also on the path to becoming smart cities. In this paper, we using an IOT integrated smart parking system. In this proposed Smart Parking system consists of an on-field deployment of the IOT module that is used to monitor and signalize the state of availability of each single parking space. The mobile app is that it allows the user to check out, parking facilities, and check parking slot availability. At the end of the paper discusses the working of the system in the form of use cases to prove the correctness of the proposed model.

It’s unavoidable for the people to update with the increase technology. [1] And generally people are facing problems on parking vehicles in parking slots in a parking area. In this study we plan a Smart Parking System (SPS) which enables the user to find the nearest parking area and gives availability of parking slots in that respective parking area. It mainly concentrates on reducing the time in finding the parking area and also it avoids the unnecessary travelling through filled parking areas in a parking area. Thus it decreases the fuel consumption which in turn reduces carbon footprints in an atmosphere.

Growth of IoT has paved way for integration of mobile devices, wireless communication technologies and mobile Applications. This paper proposes an IoT based Smart parking system that integrates with mobile Application. It provides a comprehensive parking solution both for the user and owner of the parking space. Features are provided for reserving a parking space, authenticating a reserved user, identifying nearest free space depending on the size of the vehicle, navigating to the parking slot and computes accounts information on daily, weekly and monthly basis. IR sensors are used to identify if a parking spot is free. Availability of a free slot with its location information is transmitted using WIFI module technology, microcontroller and wireless communication technology to the server and is retrieved though a mobile application. RFID tag attached to a vehicle is used to authenticate a user who reserves the parking slot on a hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis. A scheduling algorithm is used to identify the nearest free slot based on the size of a vehicle. The owner of the parking space can get the analytics of the number of free and available slots for a given period, the occupancy rate on week days and weekend and the amount collected for a given period and can use it for fixing variable parking fees. The mobile application is designed to provide rich customer experience.
Developing an advanced smart parking system using IoT

Internet of Things (IoT) plays an important role in connecting the surrounding things of an environment to the network and provides easy access from the remote location. It is essential that the people should be updated along with the growing technology. In the present world, there is a numerous number of vehicles owned by the people. Due to this large number of vehicles, there will be a lot of discomfort for parking of a vehicle at public places such as shopping complexes, function halls, and cinema theatres. In such places, it is very difficult to find a vacant place to park the vehicle, even though it is a paid facility along with the security guard. In this study, we design an Advanced Smart Parking System (ASPS) which identifies the vehicle and displays an empty slot on the display at the entrance gate of the parking. So that the person will know whether there is any availability or not before entering into the parking place. This system of design also provides the shortest path from the entrance gate to the assigned parking slot by showing the directions through leds. This process of implementation does not involve human interaction except the payment collection.
The Development of Smart Parking System
The increasing of the number of vehicle ownership, parking has become the serious problem for several people. One of the problems is difficulty to looking for the empty parking space in the large parking area and also the amount of illegal parking car that does not follow the rules of the parking space dimension. In this paper, we proposed the smart parking system using the Internet of Things (IoT) that can be part of a solution for the parking problem. This system help in organizing the parking lot and helps the driver to reach their parking spots easily as they known which space is vacant. The parking space can be detected using an Infrared sensor that connects to the ESP8266 module that was programmed through Arduino IDE. Users can access parking space information using a smartphone via an application. Especially for users who have been registered before, they have a code for login the app as the requirement for security system and user parking convenience. The system can work with the purpose of the research appropriately.

The Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller is utilized as the processor in this study to construct an IoT-based smart parking prototype. By using research and development methods, system and infrastructure prototypes using sensors, processors, and web-based reservation apps are now the techniques used. Users may select parking slots and view slots available using HMI and an online reservation application designed using App Inventor. This display communicates with the system in real time over the internet. The hardware is environmentally beneficial because it is energy efficient and long-lasting. The smart parking system design has been extensively tested in the past. However, in this study, the payment system is examined, where payments will only be calculated when the user enters and exits the designated parking slot.
